Well I got to look at the Sebenzas and...

+1 on the Shamwari recommendation. Definitely the funnest of all my knives to open and close. BTW I love that Damasteel Shamwari ;-)

Craytab, I believe Gareth has made good on all those orders. He has learned from his mistakes and no longer takes deposits on knives. His books are currently closed, but when I placed an order with him the wait time was much less than with many other customs I have on order. He also sells knives in runs on instagram from time to time, on a first come first serve basis.

He has not.

First hand experience. Still waiting after more than 3 years...

Yikes!

I hear mixed things about GB. Slorenzo is a good guy and I don't believe he's trying to steer anyone wrong. However, in your case, that's definately not good unless you were told there was a 3 year wait (I'm assuming you weren't).

For the people I usually run into they wouldn't know the difference in my Sebenza and a flea market knife....

I actually got to go to a flea market on Saturday...
It was awesome!
Genuine counterfeit 5.11 Knives Karambit with assisted opening and liner-lock (the real one is a non-assisted back-lock); Pakistan made knives with huge gaps missing glue in the handles, selling for $50...and some genuine MTech knives. :)

I love lamp

I love couch.

I highly doubt anyone spends more money on a knife to think they're better than other people. You do it because you want a nice knife. Other people don't mostly give a crap about you having it. I have a few CR folders and the people in my day to day dealings don't even know it. I pull one out and show them, they'd still not care. I tell them I paid 455 bucks and they'd think I was crazy not better. AS for the knife freaks that think I think I'm better because of my Sebenzas.......

I stand by what I said.

And this is why......

That's because of your lack of swag...

You have to wrist-flick the CRK open and make ninja sounds while doing so. Only then, will people know that you're better!

Haven't been to our big one yet this year, it runs all Summer at the Fair Grounds, it's huge.

Ninja's would never use CRK's; the frame lock *click* would give away their position in the bush.

Now, pirates on the other hand...

I think I'm going to have to buy yet another Sebenza after reading this thread because that's the kind of elitist, capitalist dog snob that I am.

Tears and pacifiers.

FYI- This is YOUR baby, OP...you can do BladeForums a huge favor; abort this baby & close this thread up anytime you want.

You're only about 4 days too late!

Edit: had you used the search engine on this site, you would have seen the countless dozen's of other thread's on this very subject.
