So close, and yet so far....
Mixed Feelings! Massive Temptation! Deliberations!
And then, happily playing with the FF knives I already have, and waiting to see what's next, next time.
... So, it's fair to guess someone likes lime liners?![]()
(Merry Christmas, y'all.)

Well Pert,
I personally thought I'd hate the lime liners. Then I saw Brian's Bushcrafter - Ironwood with the green/lime liners. I think I'm in love.
I'm with you Varga. I should not be looking. And yet, as per my routine, I grab my coffee and check the offerings. If I can make it through New Year's Eve I will have accomplished my goal of going an entire month without purchasing a knife for myself (proxy sharking doesn't count).

In general I would agree... I've had many "that knife is perfect" then I see lime pinstripes BUT there are a couple configurations that it works for me... one is the pk I just picked up with starry night scales (below) the other is any blue burl wood... but to each their own... someone usually buys it...
Blue with lime liners don't work for me but an Ironwood with black/lime definitely does for some reason. Depends on the knife, colors and materials and it can change over time as things grow on a person. The nice thing about the Fiddleback crew is their variety. You can't please everyone all the time but over time, it seems like they certainly do please everyone. To quote Phillip, We hope yall find the one or three today .. but if not today, there's always next week.
Funny how much a certain handle material changes one's understanding of a given knife.

Natural handles are not usually on the top of my list but if I didn't already already have 3 OS Ladyfingers, I'd go for that one. The black pins make all the difference in the world and would suck me in (along with the black/white stripes of course) Among the OS Ladyfingers I've had, my advice is someone should SNAG that one because the area where the edge meets the guard is done perfectly.
I've been doing searches and looking at comparison pics off and on all morning and just can't wrap my head around the Bear Cub and if I'd like it or not. The Bushnub II is way up on my favorites list and they seem a bit similar but I'm just not certain. I've given the Kephart a try but just couldn't warm up to the model. The Bear Cub looks almost list a Kephart but scaled down a bit. Guess I'll have to buy one to give it a try some time.
The wood on the Hiking Buddy is just beautiful.
The Bear Cub is basically a smaller Kephart where the Bear Paw is the larger version.
Bear Cub>Kephart>Bear Paw
Thanks Jim! That helps
