Well...It's Friday...

Natural handles are not usually on the top of my list but if I didn't already already have 3 OS Ladyfingers, I'd go for that one. The black pins make all the difference in the world and would suck me in (along with the black/white stripes of course) Among the OS Ladyfingers I've had, my advice is someone should SNAG that one because the area where the edge meets the guard is done perfectly.

I've been doing searches and looking at comparison pics off and on all morning and just can't wrap my head around the Bear Cub and if I'd like it or not. The Bushnub II is way up on my favorites list and they seem a bit similar but I'm just not certain. I've given the Kephart a try but just couldn't warm up to the model. The Bear Cub looks almost list a Kephart but scaled down a bit. Guess I'll have to buy one to give it a try some time.

The wood on the Hiking Buddy is just beautiful.

When it comes to the natural canvas, I agree. The black and white are definitely my favorite configuration with it. My thoughts on the Bear Cub mirror Jims. I really like it and want one in a brown wood, but I also really love the Kephart. If you haven't warmed up to the Kephart you may not warm up to the Bear Cub. Tat said...some times we like things in an edc model we don't necessarily like in a full sized knife, and vice versa. I love the Bushboot as an edc, but I am much more drawn to the lines of the Protagonist than I am the Figther...

Well, fumbled the fingers on that one. Abe, congrats and thanks for keeping me from spending any knife money this week. :D

Nice patina there! I just can't seem to replicate those types of patterns very well. Feel free to share any tips and "recipes". :-)

Yeah, Abe got his Monarch, and looks like a few took your advice on the Lady. That Monarch Abe snagged is very nearly what I need, but a want a little bit lighter wood so the grain will pop in a low-light photo, and for my purposes it needs a swedge. So the wait, thankfully considering how broke I really am right now, continues :)

I've never been a fan of natural bolsters but it looks pretty good when it's the entire handle. I've had my eye out for an OS Lady but I'd prefer one in 1/8" with a straight grain handle.

Like Brian, I was also thinking that there are a few knives that I like in the EDC size but not in the full size. The BC jr vs the BC comes to mind.

i was thinking you would snag that EDK to go in your tangerine collection

Very very tempted but my other EDKs haven't gotten carried that much and I *ought* to just go for models that I'll readily carry and use.

I'm trying desperately to think of ways to persuade the boss to let me add the HB. Can't believe it's not claimed.

Out of curiosity, do you have a preference between the new EDK's and the Old School Karda? I really like my OS Karda so I'm really interested in the new ones but I'd like any opinion on one vs the other. Thanks.

Tell her it's a one-of-a-kind and there will never be another one like it. It's hand made with an organic handle material, so that is in fact 100% truth :D

I've been surprised for the last 3 weeks at the HBs that didn't go right away. I went to USA Made Blade to try and snag the scandi Osage one that I left behind and it was already gone. [emoji58]

Phillip I would've snagged 3 from this batch if I could. Hard part is 2 of them are still there.

Brian I'll go & try your suggestion now. Thanks [emoji106]

the handle on the newer one fits my hand much better, I received a PM from the fella that snagged the last one and it said "melts into the hand"

It's funny. Every knife Alayna has pointed out that she likes lately has been a Handyman with either the Yellow Jacket handle material or a Handyman with blue and black G10. No idea if she really even recognizes they are the same model I have been letting her use most lately, or if she is just drawn to those handle materials. But she does well with the Handyman. If I could afford it, I would snag that Handyman with both blue and yellow, and make that her first Fiddleback...again. This go round I already have a sheath for it, and the debacle with the sheath that happened before won't be an issue...but I just can't seem to be sure I can swing it. So, lol, I'll keep waiting on that one too :)
