Those same average people chose the widely popular 2019 forum knife.
I mean... you understand that a knife made by popular vote will be popular by definition, right? 😆 And furthermore if the sample size of knife aficionados accurately represents the entire population of knife aficionados, then the popularity can be expected to be universal among knife enthusiasts.

The 2019 knife is great, but I wouldn’t say it has unusual scale choices. My point was that we shouldn’t be expecting anything out of the ordinary. Or if that’s not the right word, than something unusual. Or atypical.

don’t misunderstand this as a complaint, more just an observation.

committee decisions are funny, never know what they will produce, they give you the 2019 Forum knife….and the Pontiac Aztec.

Really hoping the jig bone voters change last minute to smooth bone. I have a feeling you will see a sawcut option from regular GEC releases on this 86 barlow in the coming months. That said, a deep red or blue sawcut would look pretty sweet.

But the regular run will be a lolly scramble with no guarantee, this will be a sure thing peaceful easy purchase.
