Not one is a wrong choice, but in my opinion sawcut eeks out smooth bone by a hair. Thinking copperhead like this
NF Barlow.

Just to clarify, "Smooth, Beveled" handles would be flat on the sides, and squared-off at the butt end...being shaped just like the sawcut covers are, except for no sawcut lines. No curvature, no rounding. Like Mike's 2018 NF Barlow SFO with Elderberry Camel Bone covers. Is this right?

Right!!

I look forward to your work!! ;)
Here's a neat example of Gunstock style!! You could start a trend!!!View attachment 1577275
By Evan (Esnyx)!!
Evans checkering work on this TC of yours (and some others), his Beerlow conversions, and his thoughts on another GEC Barlow are what pushed me deeper into GECs and traditionals in general. He obviously respected your perspective on traditionals Mr. CC ... as do I so I’m going to vote smooth and beveled...let’s just hope it is ivory...is any of Bill’s primitive bone still available?

This example of sawcut makes me want to switch my vote from smooth beveled. Either choice is a winner in my book.

I'm wondering if stainless liners and pins will shift polling when waynorth waynorth hears back if it's an option or not.

I can't think of a GEC smooth ivory done with flat surface/beveled edges before. Sounds appealing...

I feel like there's been times that GEC has changed details after decisions were announced. I wonder if this would be one of those GEC switches where the request for beveled edge turns out being shipped with the standard treatment.

I think I read somewhere that it is all used up but I can’t remember for sure so take it with a grain of salt. They haven’t used it in over 5 years though and you’d think they would if they had it to use.

Yes, I think it was strictly limited after they discovered some ancient cattle grave and managed to prep a quantity of it. I had a 26 in Primitive Bone, not a pattern I much liked and I traded it, but the bone was remarkable.

NOT UNLIKE IVORY BONE in many ways :D Same exclusive feel whereas Sawn Bone is so run of the mill, safe and pedestrian that it is just anonymous on steroids😜

I’m happy either way, but I hope someone will make sure I don’t miss the ordering when it comes time. I’m going through a job change and haven’t been able to be as present in recent days.

Personally, I think sawcut is a no brainer. I’d love to see it in something different. Maybe a natural/ivory/antique color, or even just a brushing of a darker accent like they did on the sawcut soup bone for the sheepfoot TC’s.
