Me too :) While I think this will still be a very nice knife with sawcut bone, with those bolsters, I think that smooth white bone would make this a stunning knife. Hope we don't miss the opportunity :) Charlie knows his onions

A few good points here, my friend... Changed my vote from sawcut to smooth, beveled. :)

Edit to add - And it felt weird having my vote on the winning side... 🤣

But the regular run will be a lolly scramble with no guarantee, this will be a sure thing peaceful easy purchase.
Very excited for a relaxing knife purchase lol
They won't release the same knife as we order...
Besides, it's just as likely they will have a smooth or jigged bone option.
Fair point. I'm just trying to stir up more votes haha

You ain't kidding. Has Charlie ever produced a dud? None that I am aware of. Smooth white would be so elegant and the variations after years of use would be really cool.

The problem with plain undyed bone is that it yellows with age like this example Jack posted. For some, this is a good thing, but to me it is not desirable. I realize this is just a matter of personal preference. If we go with smooth bone, undyed plain will probably win out, and we will end up with a knife that will eventually look like the one pictured below. I have owned plain undyed bone knives that began to turn yellow fairly quick. Even if steel pins and liners are possible, that would not prevent the yellowing. It would only help with verdigris.

If the yellowing is an issue, wouldn't an owner be able to stain their own (or would the scales be treated to prevent this somehow)?
Something like a coffee dip, berries, a synthetic dye, combination, etc... It could allow for some really cool characterization (if one was looking for some options).🤷‍♂️

(With no skin in the game, I just had some unsolicited thoughts)

Boy, all the suggestions that we jigged bone voters should change our vote has me thinking...

Should I?
