That all looks so awesome! I’m curious if you glue the leather to the shoes for your coasters?

Excellent job! Very nice. I like the slide concept too. Probably what I use the most my ownself is a slide. I made it years ago for a Smith 908. But it happens to fit from smallest to largest: Kimber Micro 9, Springfield EMP, Smith 908, Springfield Loaded and Dan Wesson Specialist in 10mm. Again excellent work!
I love all your work. I was wondering if you glue the leather to your shoes, for the coasters? Some recents:

An order that finally made its way to Norway. The duffel bag was hung up in US Customs for months. Thought it was stolen as they denied having it even though thats what the tracking showed. Weeks later showed up back at out local post office. We were in the process of making a new duffel for the customer and had added in the sheath and the IWB holster for his bother.

This old Colt was taken in trade for a horse by his great, great grandfather. It was made in 1877. He said as a young boy he would clean it about once a week for his great grandmother who was in possession of it at the time.

E ecallahan here's a thread that shows how Dave goes about making those coasters
Horsewright Coaster Thread
and my small contribution to this amazing thread of wonder, you guys are creating some stellar items!!! so this seems pretty lowbrow but I think it worked out well. I recently picked up a BPS Savage fixed blade made in the Ukraine. The sheath for the most part is well done, thick leather, thick welt and they incorporated a dangler thingy for the belt loop. I'm not much of a dangler kind of guy so I drilled out the rivets holding the soft leather of the dangler off the sheath and inserted a threaded copper hardware through the top hole and then glued up a belt loop, punch a hole through the bottom of that and fastened it onto the sheath. So now while it doesn't dangle out of control, it will swivel out of the way if needed. Also now when I go to draw the knife...I draw the knife and I do not end up pulling the knife/sheath/beltloop dangler thingy...I just draw the knife, plain and simple. I ground in some curves along each side to give it some interesting look, instead of just straight sided.
I cut off the lower part of their belt loop dangler system which could also be used as the main belt loop, keep in mind while the leather looks thick and solid...it's not, it's very very very soft and bendable. I had left the lower rivet in place as it wasn't hurting anything by staying there.

then I took the top bit that I left and glued the 'dangler' part to that stub and then fastened it together with copper screw and base.

while that worked and would be one way of modifying it, the leather was just too narrow and soft to really work well, when you tried to draw the knife you also pulled the sheath at a weird angle.

SO, I ditched that 'using what it came with' idea and took some 8/9 oz leather and folded up a belt loop, glued the lower portion together and punched a hole through so I could fasten that directly to the sheath. Which meant I had to drill out the existing rivets, so I drilled out both while I was at it, no sense leaving the lower one on there.
Here's how the sheath looked when I inserted the base of the screw section through the leather

and now, when you draw the knife, you draw the knife right away and when you go to sit down or get in a truck/car you can swivel the sheath up and out of the way easily.
Again, simple stuff but might spark some ideas for those that have sheaths like this to make it a better carry.

Nicely done partner! I suspect your son will love it.I made a wallet for my son. I used burgundy W&C. I also got some John James needles and Ritza thread 0.6 mm for this. This was the smoothest job I’ve done. Good leather and tools and advice from you all. He loves the outdoors so I found a stamp with trees and mountains.

This is what my sheaths look like. They're probably going to look like this forever. And I'm okay with that! As long as I can make an adequate container for my knives, I'm happy ( and other people seem to be too!)View attachment 1954874View attachment 1954875
