Thank you! I really like the way this dark gray thread goes with the black, it has a nice subtle contrast. That is awesome, John! Love the stitching on that one!

Right? Not to mention the week of hand cramps! Stitching is the easy part, punching 85,000 holes for a belt isn't fun. A sewing machine will change your life for sure, I've made 4 or 5 belts in the last couple of weeks, I'd still be punching holes holes if I didn't have the Cobra. I wouldn't even consider entering the belt arena without one.I remember reading a thread where, Dave said he once hand stitched a belt and didn’t want to do it again (or something along those lines).
I made myself a belt a year or so ago and a couple weeks ago I decided to hand stitch it. If a professional did it, I had to at least try.
Well, I agree with DaveHorsewright , that was the longest 10 hrs of my life.

The Cobra has really opened up a lot of possibilities. It was hard to drop the cash but in hindsight was well worth every penny.I read you got a Cobra! Congrats, John. Nothing better than a little help with the stitching aspect of leather working.
Only 82,000 holes to punch for me. Luckily I have a small….ish waist. Haha.
And ya, I don’t accept belt orders. Not with stitching anyways. Although…I also made my wife a belt…and she likes the stitching on mine…what did I do to deserve this!
All said and done, the belt turned out good and I’m really happy with it.
The stitchwork you are doing on your belts is fantastic, John. Absolutely fantastic.
Those are cool! While I have hand stitched a belt, the crazy was hand stitching in the zippers on a pair of shotgun chaps. Now that is cuckoo for cocoa puffs right there!
Simply fantastic my friend!
Thanks, trying to keep the bulk down and keep things more comfortable in that area. That taper on the inside is a nice touch
Thanks Dave!Simply fantastic my friend!
Does the rubber (?) ring go around the handle to provide assertional retention ? John
That’s a beauty. Really nice work.Finished this one up for a CPK Heavy duty medium chopper, basically a BIG knife lol.
