All are set up for canted cross draw carry.

Great work all around......๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘.........

Nice and snappy. The knife clicks in (albeit not as positively as with kydex.) I have turned each sheath upside down and shake them to see if the knife falls out. None have so far, but they release easily from the sheath when pulled. I may try a cam lock welt on some in the future.

One of my earliest endeavors, I forged the blade out of O1 steel and made a brass bolster and walnut handle, and then a rugged leather sheath
This was way back in the mid 90โ€™s after forging it I felt that was enough to tell me I was not going to be forging any more ๐Ÿ˜‚ but it was pretty neat to do

Scratched in my G2

This has been in my wifeโ€™s uncleโ€™s collection, I gave him a long time ago, he passed away back in February and I visited his wife today and we looked and found it so it came back home

So impressed with people that can make a knife out of a hunk of steel GG. Thatโ€™s a โ€˜somedayโ€™ dream for me. And people like Horsewright and others on what seems an unobtainable level, just not sure what to say. You all know how to humble a person.

Thanks E ecallahan it was a fun project, this was way before anything like Forged In Fire was even a spark of an idea. But I felt it was something that I always wanted to try my hand at.
Blade is about 3 1/2" and the handle swells up into the bolster which provides a bit of security while using, the handle has some contours to it and measures out at 5 1/2", I made it longer to give more options during use, if I were to do it over again I'd probably shrink it down to 4 1/2" but for now I don't want to mess with that.

The strap comes around the spine of the handle and snaps down, so that way when you unsnap it, the strap folds away from the cutting edge. That was kinda like leather origami to make that belt loop/strap section.

Inside the sheath I added a couple of spacers so when the knife is inserted it has some compression against the blade so if the strap comes undone the knife is still retained.

This was made like I said, way back, before I started embossing the month and year on my sheaths. Which I like doing so folks can tell just how long ago their sheath was made.

Looks great too me..........๐Ÿ‘Œ

Beautiful job Josh!!!!! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

I appreciate the kindness James :)

Those look great!

Simple, elegant and useful. Excellent attention to detail, my friend.

Means a lot coming from high caliber leather benders such as yourselves. I'm going for something very specific and I'm not quite there yet, but with each sheath it gets just a little bit closer - which is a relief lol! Still... plenty of refinement to go before my OCD is finally quelled ;)
