Wharncliffe Delica - any interest? (Pics)

After reading through the whole thread on Spyderco Forums, I'm super excited about this blade! Great job Jazz, and hats off to you Sal for being so accessible and actually bringing this idea to fruition!

My one whining nitpick would be anything but black...please?! Haha, for real though, count me in regardless.

Great execution of a well thought out blade by a truly top-notch company. Glad to witness how this played out.

I'll be in for a couple, and if Sal wants to give the Wharncliffe treatment to the Manix 2...that would be cool as well...

Jazzz, thanks for the idea and effort to get this going. Sal, thanks for being an unbelievable knife maker/owner hat listens to his customers.

I am really looking forward to this knife. I'm an auto tech instructor, and use a knife almost all day long for all different kinds of tasks. And the best blade design to date for me is a Wharncliffe style that is the proto.

On the flip side, I and like everyone else, and LOVE the delica 4. Just feels great in the hand and slices like a laser. But I'm always shy of the tip and prying capabilities.

Seems as though this knife would cute both of those for me.

Can't wait for this thing to come into production!!!

I'm pretty excited for these, any idea when they may be available? Any chance we'll see a Wharncliffe Endura?

I'm in for one or two. I've always been a fan of the wharncliffe style blades, and this one looks like a beauty.
Black FRN and VG-10 work for me as well.

John

Glad it will be black. I'm thankful for all the colors.....yet tired of them at the same time. :)

If you need a reason to buy a new knife, fine...otherwise...Can't see that it does anything better than any
number of Spydercos I already own. shrug

Even though I've posted a number of times about how I'd prefer any color other than Black , I'm starting to come around to your point of view .
Bring on the Black VG10 Wharncliffe , the sooner the better .

Ken

I prefer black as well. Colors are fun, but I always end up feeling like I need to scrub then every so often to make them look clean again.

I'd still prefer the goldenrod/mustard yellow or blue like the 110Vs, but I'll go with Sal's best judgement. Here are a couple more pics...

Soooo agree, Goldenrod would be unique. Black FRN is the "missionary" of FRN colors...a knife this awesome and the development here on the forums deserves a special color. I have never bought a black FRN Spyderco ever. I only own one now, Caly 3.5 and if I had any other color choice I would have taken it. I will get one of these but dayum Goldenrod was a great idea

^^^ +1

It doesn't even have to be Goldenrod for me because I understand that that would require introducing a color not currently in production. But I do feel that offering a color would be much more desirable for many here on the forums, which let's be honest will be the first and most likely adopters of this new Wharnie introduction. I'm fine with whatever happens to be the most successful Spyderco color, just as long as it's not black.

I mean I guess I'm biased because if I'm not required to wear black for business reasons it's not even in my clothing rotation...I have not bought or even owned a piece of black casual apparel in probably 15 years.

And...here come the differing opinions, LOL. I really just wanted to say that I'm okay with any actual color.
