well... it seems... Rare = Desirable. You say that as if it were a thing that actually happens.
A 73 drop hung around for more than an hour this evening. That's progress from 30 seconds. However the old school fellas' selfish desire to have them all to their selves will probably never return. You say that as if it were a thing that actually happens.![]()
Man I wish I had started collecting GECs before late 2020. So many good ones I missed out on!
and there you have it.Rendezous Whaler from 2018 with the Sperm Whale shield and Pine Wood handles from the Plymouth Cordage company.

I agree, the #76 Jacks are the cream of the crop for me too.My marriage knife was the 76 Jack and I love it
Yeah I know that must be a common feeling for some of our newer collectors. I hope you younger guys get a place at the trough. Maybe once covid passes GEC might up their production numbers a bit.
As far as desirability goes? Man I'm the last one to ask. Most of their stuff from the last few years just doesn't appeal to me.
I have a slew of Bullwinkles... Love the pattern but it's too heavy/thick to carry. I have quite a few White Owls and really love the pattern. My marriage knife was the 76 Jack and I love it and the other safe queens I have of that pattern.
But I only have two knives I carry religiously: a 66 Slim and the 33 Conductor from last year. If I'm in the office I've got the 33 Most of the time and the 76 occasionally. If I'm working outside? The 66 Slim. Until I bought the 33 last year it was about the only knife I carried. Six straight years of almost constant carry/use. The jigging is a shadow of when it was new and it has the heaviest patina I've ever seen on a knife.
Most desirable? 3 to 2 and pick 'em.

Not including any recovers or mods it would be all of these at one time or another, at least until I got them then they went from most desirable to most prized.

Indeed, one minor mod actually did make it in there that I think you’ll appreciate. The stabilized smooth white bone 86 is actually a blade delete.you're right, GEC sometimes doesnt make them the way I like. Have to get them modified
Amazing stag
I'm not really into the toothpick pattern but they got me with that mardi gras acrylicNot including any recovers or mods it would be all of these at one time or another, at least until I got them then they went from most desirable to most prized.
