What are some good 4'' blade for under $50

We will assimilate you yet. Resistance is futile.;):D

Seriously though Mora's are good blades, they are dam sharp and quality for the money. I just dont believe they are for hard use in most situations let alone one where you may need to abuse your tools. Some say they have never abused a knife in 100 yrs, I say you should market your crystal ball as you never know when you might have to. Need not be expensive just sturdy.

Thats all I have to say about that Lt Dan.

Maybe ;)

Skam

LMAO @ skammer:D I will stick to my Rat-7 or maybe the Spec line of ontario knives. Right now I find it more important to provide money for food on the table and a roof over my head. LOL Eventually though, I will fork out the money for one to see what this super knife business is about. :D

I have a Pendleton, and like it a lot. As far as HG's go,it's a real good slicer and whittler, due to the blade geometry. Handle is contoured nicely. Blade seems short at first (3.5") but very usable and handy. VG-1 seems to be no troubles so far. Sheath is OK, but mine came lefty for some reason, so I had to reverse the plate.(easy). I think you'll like it.

Just did a comparison of these two sub 30.00 over on BCUSA...

Buck Bucklite Max 4 Inch VS the new Mora Bushcraft Triflex.

Buck Outfitter Daimondback is a great USA made 4 incher, around 20 bucks or so. As everyone said, Moras are spectacular. The Condor Rodan, Bushlore, Bushcraft, Nessmuk, and Lifeland Hunter I'd throw in there. The R Murphy Belt Knife, at 18 dollars, Hultafors GK at 15, Blind Horse Tiger Knapp at 35, Ranger Shiv, Becker BK2 at 50... there's alot of good ones out there that drastically range in design and weight.

Cool, that Buck looks like a real winner. When budget permits I think I'll see about picking one up... I am on a self-imposed $0 budget right now because of all the non-knife things I need...

Helle knives are the best bet, in my opinion. The resoning for this bias, is the fact that the blades are laminated steel, with solid wood handles, full tangs, and minimilistic embellishments. They are made for the hunter, woodsman, and general outdoors enthusiast.I love my Helle Jubileum Knife, which I purchased from Ragner, last October. The Jubileum is more than $50, but many other Helle models would fit the bill for you, at around $50. A better value knife, I have not found.

Which ones have full tangs? I have only seen one of their blades that is a fulltang knife...
