forgot to add this
least favorite knife is the puma "pro-hunter", I got it for my dad
it was a sportsmansguide special
the pos "retals" for $110 but I paid $39
the pos has the worst fit and finish I have ever seen
the grind is horrible and the spine has a slant to it
the finish came uneven and spotty
the heat treat feels like a 3 year old did it
the thing sucks
but luckly he is happy with it

My Kershaw Mini Cyclone ZDP-189 ,it's titanium frame lock is so loose that I'm scaried it might close on me during use.

I dislike folding knives that have more than one blade and or tool. They tend to load up dirt, making them hard to open and close. They also tend to be heavier, and the primary blade tends to be a disapointment inorder to accomodate all the extra stuff.

any knife i bought befor my cold steel recon 1. Grented none of those costed over 30 bucks, so what could i expect. Out of those the paraframe is high on the list i cant even bring myself to give it away. Thank god i discovered this site or i would hail cs as a god of the knife world.

Any SOG folder. I have three, and none of their handles seem to have been designed to comfortably fit a normal human hand. Maybe it's just me, but I won't buy another SOG folder. I suspect their fixed-blades are much better...

I guess, although it is well made and was delivered fairly sharp, it has to be the Puma 'Sportec'. Of course, it was a closeout - and ~$19 - so it didn't quite break the bank. The poorest Buck I own is a 560XLT - a Ti-handled knife with a 110's blade. It neither opens nor closes easily - it stays due to it's oddity of Ti handles, which may be the problem, as drilling Ti, which galls easily, is problematic. I guess my next absolute worst Buck is a 110 - and it still is a definite keeper, even if it's scales are ugly!

Stainz

PS I just looked it over - it is a Western copy of a 110... never mind!

My Ranger RD6. It's way too thick and heavy for me to carry - and that makes it quite useless for me.

Great thread! I've got two that are tied for least favorite. First is a Masters of Defense Point Man that I recently lost. It was my EDC because it was tough as $#$@#! but the blade profile not was optimal for general use and it rode too high in my pocket which regularly hung on the car or truck seat which is why I lost it. (Replaced it today with a ZT 0200ST.)

My second least favorite is an Ontario Survival Bowie. It is a good chopper but the blade chips just looking at it.

Wuff

I have a shoebox with Paki knives, rambo wannabe knives, etc.

I hate my CRKT M16 even more than that box-o-crap though.

My buck metro.

Blade is super sharp but thats the problem, I could easily lose my finger if I actually use this. On top of that the bottle opener doesn't work at all. I won't give this away, unless it's to my worst enemy.

camillus cuda dominator

1:blade is so un-centered when it's closed that it touches the scale on one side

2: blade play, both side to side and up/down, with lock bar engaged and unengaged

3: pivot refuses to stay tightened

Thought I would be getting a sebenza on the cheap with a cool design. Well the design is cool...

Older Buck Cross Lock. Loved to fold and cut me. Lock was worse than no lock. I am not sure how you can get a lock to fail when cutting cardboard with the edge???????

Older brother had to have surgery on his thumb from his cross lock.

I know I will get lynched for this, but I'm not a huge fan of my SE Endura 4. It's solidly built, sharp as hell, and by all rights a spectacular knife. In the three months I've had it, I've used it plenty, but I just can't come to love it like my do my Buck 110, mini-Grip, or any of my SAKs.

I'm not a fussy sort of chap, I've liked something about most of the knives I've ever obtained; even some really cheap and technically quite poor ones.

There are still some dire ones though:

The first knife I bought myself was truly one of the worst bits of metal I've come across-I've had bits off a computer case take a better edge etc. It was one of those hollow-handled "survival" knives with all the tat in the handle and sheath, including such delights as a bent wire that was supposed to make a slingshot, a compass that only pointed in one direction...or rather didn't. In the end I managed, by hand, to bend the blade in a complete circle.

After that I bought a set of tiny cheapo throwing knives, which were pretty bad, but heat treated and wrapped they've actually come up ok; so after a long time of regret I'm actually ok with having got them now.

Cheap Chinese SAK copies...gone through a few of those; to be fair the most recent one wasn't actually bad (not like a real Vic, but takes a decent edge and has solid enough tools for using-and I won't really care if I lose it either:)).

The only one I still have but reget ever buying is a Gil Hibben Claw, I can't think of anything good to say about it at all. Maybe someday I'll do something with it that'll make me change my mind, but I doubt it.

Gerber rip-off of a CRKT folding KISS, I forget the model name. The lock just wouldn't engage.
Cold Steel 4" Voyager in plain edge. The blade just fell open one time, and I never used it again.

I bought my six-year-old (five at the time) daughter a 25 cent Chinese-made rip-off of a Victorinox Classic; just something to play with and sharpen. She looked at it, opened it, and said "This is a toy and I don't want it. Can I have a Buck?"
