What are the LEAST FAVORITE Knives You Own?

my least favorite blade is a busse fbm
it doesnt chop and wont take an edge

just kidding guys :p:D
someone has to have some more knife hating goodness

I am so picky, that I research every knife I buy prior to plunking down the duckets so I am always pleased with my choices. Except for this one time. I saw this SOG "?" in the case at my favorite gun shop. It had carbon fiber scales and a mirror finish hollow ground blade and was so pretty.Bought it, took it home and put the eye on it and it had the poorest fit and finish of any knife I have ever owned. Took it back and have'nt touched one since.

Ok, so new guy here. had to add.

I didn't get the m-16 hate until the pocket issue. My coins and such get in the handle and go between the blade and handle. Love the blade though.

I usually love Cold Steel stuff, but i noticed that the fancier the designs, the worse the knife. Where i love my voyager, i HATED the triple action. The handles gets cut up and that in turn chips the blade. The idea was great, the execution was horrid.

Also, every Ken Onion knife i have had ended up with a broken tip.

Another for the Gerber Paraframe. Dullest knife I've owned, and wont take an edge. I must've fallen for the "Titanium finish". The one Boker Magnum I owned had similar qualities.
OTOH, I like the few CRKT's I have (Wild Weasel, Voodoo, M16-14 Aluminum) except the M16-10EDC. Can't get the AUS4 blade sharp enough, and the damn handle is way too skinny). Also have the PECK, but it's what I expected out of an inexpensive keychain knife, and only opens envelopes.

My least favorite constantly proves to be my most practical: Leatherman Wave

Not that I hate it, I just don't have many knives. And multitools just aren't exciting for me...

another vote for the CRKT M16EDC, though i should have known better than to buy the crap Zytel made in Taiwan version... if you get the regular sized made in the U.S. versions with aluminum or Ti handles, they're MUCH better...

overall construction. my brother has a full sized aluminum handled M16, and it's rock solid. he's had it for years. he beats the ever-loving crap out of that thing and it never even blinks, which is the reason that i picked mine up in the first place. hell, he used it for a whole season working on a grounds crew for a country club, and nothing will dull a knife up faster than cutting sod with it, yet he did just that. he'd just come home that night, spend a few minutes with a cheap Smith's V-sharpener and it was as good as new.

with the zytel handled smaller ones, the handles and liners are so thin that they flex simply from the pressure of your hand when you're gripping it to press your finger on the flipper, and that flexing makes the screws loosen up and back out. blade play is one thing. handle play is something i've never encountered before or since...

i wouldn't hesitate to pick up another M16, if it was full sized and had metal scales, but you couldn't pay me to trust a zytel model...

My least favorite is a Spyderco Mini-Manix. The knife is well made and the steel and edge are fantastic, but it just doesn't get used. It is a little too heavy and a little too wide for comfortable pocket carry, at least for me. I guess it would be a good candidate for a belt sheath.

Ka-Bar Dozier Folding Skinner.
The Blade itself is good, but:

-The backlock is "sharp" too
-almost impossible to open with the Pin (especially with gloves)
-you can pinch the finger while opening

and its the only knife, that ever really cut me and i think it did it on purpose...

I got a CRKT Van Hoy Snap Fire from www.steepandcheap.com for a nice price. Played with it a little and hated it! Gave it to my step-daughter's boyfriend for Christmas and he loved it. What does a 20 y.o. know anyway!:jerkit:

Buck Mayo framelock thing, damn near took my fingers off. Not only does the frame lock fail every time it's engaged I way overpayed for it because of the reputation. Nothing but disappointment with Buck's import stuff.

Hey, all. New face to the forums here, but knives have been a lifelong passion of mine.

As some others have also stated, I research the hell out of whatever I go to purchase, so I don't hate any of the knives that I spent my hard-earned cash on. Out of the ones I've received for nothing, my least favorite would have to be a CRKT M-16 zytel. Blade play in both directions, buttery-soft steel, a weak lock (even with the damn auto-L.A.W.K.S. which is so obnoxious that I removed it) and the screws are so soft that when I go to tighten it up I have to be careful not to strip the heads. It stays in my knife roll. After I dulled it sharpening a pencil I tossed it in there and it hasn't come out since.

My least favorite knife that I don't own is by far the CS Triple Action. The aluminum is so soft that the pivot pin for the handle hinge wears clean through. Also, there's the aforementioned self-nicking issue. We've had people come back into the shop disappointed with them a couple of times. We couldn't do anything but tell them to send it back to CS. :-( We aren't ordering any more EVER. I can't sell those to people in good conscience, not even for show.
