What are you watching & why? (splain)

I can't believe I'm saying this but I really enjoyed the first episode of The Penguin. Colin's performance was some of the best I've seen out of him, even with the prosthetics (he did an amazing job with his eyes). The show isn't "superheroey" at all. The second episode wasn't as good but I'm still going to see it through.

Appreciating Colin's performance made me go back and watch In Bruges. Which then led me to go back and watch The Guard. I highly suggest you watch both of those movies if you hadn't had the chance to catch them yet.
That first episode of The Penguin was great!

Way better than I expected!

Though I am a big fan of the Robert Pattinson Batman movie and have watched it a few times, I must confess that I did not know until recently (with the press surrounding the show) that Colin Farrell played the Penguin. It's a testament to his performance, for sure.

I have a buddy that absolutely loathes Farrell and though I have no strong opinion myself, I have thought that his more recent works have been pretty great.

Redbull Rampage- anyone check that out yesterday?
cool thing- Ethan Nell is the son of Chad Nell who is a knifemaker of well earned good repute
