I remember reading an interview a few years back from a movie release/debut (I canāt recall the movie, or the actor); The Professionals- on Xumo play(free). Old British intelligence show. The first thing that struck me was the frenetic pace of running/chases. Most modern shows, looks like the lead runs like a sissy- this may not be true, but I have Seagal grating on my mind.

The Lowdown and Reservation Dogs were created by Sterlin Harjo and have similar vibes. The Lowdown is not slow though!I recently finished up Reservation Dogs. It was a bit slow at the start, but once they established the characters it took off. Funny and endearing. Plus, there was a character with an absolutely perfect name and casting: William Knifeman

Yeah, I was in no way complaining.I enjoyed the first half more than the latter, where it started to get a little too ridiculous (and I expect a fair bit of over-the-top in any JW franchise - that's kind of the point).
But yeah, my bar isn't exactly high if the trade-off is two hours of watching Ana de Armas.
As an aside, she sure seems like she really got the shit repeatedly kicked out of her in that movie. Very physical role, for sure.
Maybe she likes it rough?![]()
