What are you watching & why? (splain)

Ridley Scott’s KoH never received the accolades and the adulations of his preceding blockbuster, Gladiator. I really loved this movie and for the umpteenth time, if for nothing else just for the casting of the then younger and super scrumptious Eva Green, although I never dare to sexualize a super hot exotic French beauty such as Eva Green!

What were you saying about the Director’s cut? Does the delish Ms. Eva Green show some skin in that version?

Just kidding, JK!

NOT!!!

Yeah, they show full penetration in the directors cut

I’m watching the directors cut of Kingdom of Heaven, which I haven’t seen before and it kicks ass

Agreed 100%. The studio forced him to cut almost an hour off the movie which resulted in the disjointed, confusing theatrical cut. Scott distanced himself from the final product but later released the full version, which is a complete epic on par with Gladiator. The full movie is a completely different film.

Yep, absolutely, lots of Arabs and French men-at-arms get skewered with lances. That's what we're talking about, right?

I watched it for the first time last month. I missed out on the 4K Steelbook and a very kind member of AR15.com simply shipped me an extra copy he had. Absolutely loved the movie, which I had avoided since the Theatrical version wasn't well reviewed.

Unfortunately, she doesn't show any nudity in the DC. Which is surprising since you would think she has a mandatory nudity clause in every other movie she is in. Which is fine by me since she is unbelievably attractive.

The original Penny Dreadful with a very strong cast around Eva Green on SHO is still an absolute fave of mine which I have watched a few times, beginning to end, when I used to have SHO. The of course they went ahead and made another Penny Dreadful starring Natalie Dormer which was cancelled only after one season. The original is a must see for those who have not!

Loved the show. Too bad the ending seemed so rushed.

Agreed. The original PD was fun.

Natalie Dormer is a terrible actress, imo.

Have you seen Eva in "Sin City: A Dame to Kill For?"

It's always the escalating production costs which eventually kill a great thing.
Don’t know if it’s escalating production costs, or simply a case where someone came up with an interesting concept that wasn’t fleshed out completely, then no one knew how to wrap it up (eg. GRRM’s GoT, SK’s Dark Tower series, Lost, and many more).

Watched Project Hail Mary (free with Amazon Prime, now).

More of a drama about the relationship than hard sci fi, IMO, but an entertaining movie nonetheless.

Also watched The Sheep Detectives on Amazon. Another feel good family oriented movie. Thought it was well made. Only caveat is that it might make young, impressionable kids go vegetarian/vegan lol.

Agree, sad to see (especially after all of the buildup). I thought Gabel Steveson was impressive, as well. He’s a force to be reckoned with!
I wasn't so sure that a one punch upset wasn't going to have changed the complexion of that bout.

King Green keeps finding a way, and Brandon Royval proved the odds were incorrect.
