What are you watching & why? (splain)

Started watching Cape Fear on Apple TV+ but sadly decided to abandon for now, while about 2/3rd of the way through the second episode (it is a new mini series on A/TV+ so it is just 3 episodes in so far).

Now I really liked both Cape Fear movies, the 1962 original with Robert Mitchum and Gregory Peck and then the 1991 remake with Robert De Niro and Nick Nolte. I really like Javier Bardem reprising the role of Max Cady is I think that he's an excellent choice for playing the psycho antagonist/protagonist Cady, as Javier has been excellent at playing all previous psycho characters in his career, so I guess that he's the highlight of this mini series. Thereafter, I just can see that to make a movie in to a mini series required lots of added bloat and deviation from the essence of the original book which I don't think that I'll be in the mood for to wait for weekly released. I dunno, I may come back, revisit and binge watch once it is all done and wrapped up if there is nothing better to latch onto then!
 
We watched Season 3 of "The Capture" on Peacock over the last couple of days.

Not as good as the first two seasons, in both of our opinions, and while the story line is relevant and topical, it went quite a bit over the top this season...into comic book territory, which I found disappointing.

Add to this the number of unlikable characters from top to bottom and it's a bit of a slog.
 
I've been watching Spider-Nior for the past few days. I'm not a huge Nick Cage fan but it's a pretty good series. He's just a terrible actor. He keeps getting work though so far be it from me to make judgements!
I've never even heard of this comic until now. I've been a Spiderman fan since learned how to read. I never knew there was another spider person.
Anyway, It's a very good 1930s era series with super-powered people. Check it out if you're into that sort of thing.

Ridley Scott’s KoH never received the accolades and the adulations of his preceding blockbuster, Gladiator. I really loved this movie and for the umpteenth time, if for nothing else just for the casting of the then younger and super scrumptious Eva Green, although I never dare to sexualize a super hot exotic French beauty such as Eva Green!

What were you saying about the Director’s cut? Does the delish Ms. Eva Green show some skin in that version?
