Just watched the Godfather Trilogy again for the 1st time in awhile. If you have access to Pluto, the entire Trilogy is currently being streamed there.
It's still a great series and Godfather #1 is still the best of the 3. The opening line, the opening scene and the haunting score of the movie are all still brilliant!
"I believe in America . . . "
You can see and hear the opening of Godfather #1 again here:
And, if you're a film geek like I am, then you should appreicate the following analysis of this scene which, as the writer proposes, lays, the thematic groundwork for the entire Trilogy and makes a case for it being "The GMOAT" -- The Greatest Movie Of All Time!

In the process of re-watching the Trilogy, I also learned for the 1st time that Godfather #3 was re-edited and re-released by Coppola a few years ago as: "The Godfather Coda: The Death of Michael Corleone." Who knew?
I noticed a few differences but, to me, it was basically the same movie but, if it's important to you, you can read the major differences between the old and new versions of the movie in as reviewed on RogerEbert.com
here.
