  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

What Buck are you carrying today?

Limited out the first 2 days on the dove fields and settled down this morning to clean 'em.

I started with what's become my go to game knife - a fixed blade 110 with 154CM but quickly realized that's way too much knife. I had to rummage through my duck gear to find my favorite little bird knife.

I didnt have it handy for a pic earlier, but it's a ~2.5" cutting edge and would've fit Sunday's wee blade theme.

That 284 is a sweet little knife! I have one that's been riding in a cup holder in my van for the past couple of years. Super useful!

I also love what you've done with that Opinel!
Carrying it today was actually a result of hastily leaving the house with only the opinel in my pocket for work. So truck knife came with today too.

Love the 490/491/492/493 series, wether it is called the Water Fowler or the "Ergo Hunter Small Game" knife, it is a great handy small design for squirrels, trout, or birds. Never understood why Buck didn't keep this kind of knife in the line up. What? Well, yeah, I do have more than the one I use for hunting and fishing

All the talk about the new Range model inspired me to carry this other, "New for 2025" model, the Buck 714 Stinger. A more budget friendly item than the Range, but still a bit of an "upgrade" from the other China-Buck models with carbon fiber inlay and D2 steel. Fits perfectly in the 5th pocket of the jeans.
