I'm super pumped to have this one show up next Monday. Found a 2022 501 LE on everyone's favorite auction site for less than 30% of what it cost new - have another on hand, so sent it in to a guy for a custom rehandle and looks like he did a superb job.

Wife ordered me a buck 113 from their custom shop with the nickel bolster, blue handle, tan sheath. I specifically asked to stay with the 420hc for ease of sharpening in the field (want to take up hunting next year). Then I figured I'd need a matching 110 so I ordered one in nickel with the s30v clip point blade and blue handle, tan sheath. These will be my first buck knives. Still being made...should have them Dec/Jan.

Buck 286 Bantam BHW ... really love the steel in my Buck 174 Mayo Cutback since it's easy to sharpen and holds an edge fairly well for what it is (but unfortunately it's gotten loose at the pivot, and the threads on the pivot screw seem to be stripped -- I can't tighten or loosen it or remove it, it just turns forever)...so when I saw the 286 for $26 I couldn't resist...

Anybody know what "BHW" stands for?
 
Bucklite 426 on the way, a new one, destined for my "necessities pack" that I keep in my car for emergency situations. My old pack got gone 4-1/2 years ago, wife and I have looked for ages - but with two moves during that time I have accepted that it is gone never to be found again. Bought a new pack yesterday and am getting ready to fill it up. Lost a SOG multi-tool, GI Lensatic Compass, Bucklite 112 blaze orange, two loaded Glock magazines, and other good gear. OH
