What Buck Do You Have on Order? Or in the Mail?

Got the 105 in the mail Thursday. Very pleased! I remember being young and dumb and thinking, Buck knives are "old fashioned". I should never have waited so long to get my hands on a Buck. If I picked up a Buck 105 and a Case trapper 20 years ago, I would have saved myself a lot of trouble.
 
I order knives rarely (usually about 2 per year, if that), but I just put in an order for two from Buck! :)

Purchased a standard Buck 110 and a Buck 110 Slim Select Nail Notch, in red.

I had a Buck 110 I bought when I was 15 or 16, but I stupidly sold it and have been regretting that ever since. I’ve finally made it right!

As for the Slim Select, I saw it was on sale for $24.99, which is a great deal (imo) for an American-made Buck 110 variant. I figure it’s a good knife to have on-hand for any plane trips I have to take, as the chance of it getting “lost” while traveling in the check-in luggage is no big deal. I’ve “lost” a knife that way before, unfortunately, and would hate to lose another in that way.

I also like that it has the nail notch over the thumbstud. Thumbstuds are very convenient, but I prefer any 110 to have a nail notch. Seems more natural to me.

It was a Limited Edition release a few years ago. I don't recall that it was stated as being a "Pro" version but I'll look into it.

edit: mine is 5160. Oops! If his is S35VN it could be one of those factory "specials" that some members luck into.
