What Buck Do You Have on Order? Or in the Mail?

My little brother turns 17 in a few months, figured it’s about time to get his birthday present lined up. I ordered a drop-point 420HC / Ebony / brass Buck 112 for him! :)

A few months ago I gave him my 112, a drop-point 5160 / Charcoal Dymondwood / brass version. He really likes it, and loves the blade shape, but he dislikes the 5160. He much prefers stainless, so I figured a 420HC version will suit him nicely. Also, he is really enthused about the Ebony wood on my new Buck 110 I recently bought, so it’ll be cool to have Ebony handles on his 112.

I tried but couldn't hold out anymore. I have a A 118 Personal Green Micarta 420HC stamped tang on order! I can't resist the smaller Buck fixed blades. One left as I type...
 
Every since KathyJo passed in May I have put collecting on the back burner..But I'm trying to put that behind me. I was looking on the Bay and seen a 535 for a starting bid of $100.00 or make a offer. So I did and now it's on the way to me! I have a mental list of Bucks I want to try out IF I can find one at a reasonable price or less and both the 531 and the 535 are on that list. I really only collect odd 112's and over the years a lot of different Bucks have caught my eye but for so long I only spent my limited Buck budget for 112's and passed on many, many bargain non-112's. It never occurred to me I could trade them for 112's I wanted.
The list of buy if a bargain included the Strider SB.1 in ATS-34 a 312 and the 301 and 307. When the Club 301 in BG42 came out I made sure I got one and really liked it! I picked up a D-2 118 and was gifted a 120 by Armand so they are off the list. Now the 535 is too. A few others on the list came my way but were quickly gifted at Christmas or birthdays as the family budget was real tight at times. I gave Kathy's Dad a 450 gold Ion Fusion I got to use for a blade swap for a Custom 112 so that's back on the list now. When the 535 gets here I think I'm FINALLY going to send it in for a Spa treatment along with 8 or 9 other Bucks I have saved up to get done! Just finding them all is going to be a real challenge including 653 I have somewhere that will be going back to Post Falls for the second time as I still haven't figured out how to sharpen a Tanto point yet along with the BG42 301 I damaged one of the blades learning how to use a Work Sharp..
