What Did You Cut with Your Buck (Yesterday or Today)?

Nope nothing wrong, cuts great ;) I thought about getting one of each color but will wait, I have enough "needs" right now LOL
Upgraded unserrated steel would be awesome in these also!!!
One of us had better warn JB about his new 889, Be careful John!!!! Shes razor sharp. :D

The last knife that bit me was a Leatherman multi tool. My Buck knives treat me right.....but, I'll keep an eye on the 889 when she get here. She will be my first tactical Buck knife  . Hope it's not a pit bull like Marvin and Larry's.

That's MAVIN to you!!! LOL.

Anyway, I am really glad the Buck Strider gig is still going on. I think it adds a ton of credibility for Buck to have Strider and "easy on the Mayo" (like he has never heard that before) in their line.

That reminds me of a time when I was in the shipyard. I was helping get ready for a decommissioning ceremony and cut the daylights out of my thumb. The doc sewed me up over at the base clinic to the tune of the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Not to stop there, the very next day I was pulling a brass plate off my office door for a keepsake and it flew off and hit me in the chin, laying it wide open to the bone. I went to the doc and and as he was again sewing me up over at the base clinic, one of the corpsmen came over said "Two in as many days. Didn't you just come over here yesterday to sew up some guy's thumb? After he said that I lifted up my thumb (my face was covered up while he was sewing my chin) and he burst out in laughter. Of course it wasn't near as loud as the Captain when I showed up to the Decomm ceremony with both thumb and chin wrapped in bandages. I think this is one of the reasons my wife finds it so funny that I decided to collect knives. :o

Just shipped your 889 out today! They feel great in the hand, and love the choil. You can really choke up on the knife to get a real nice grip. I may get another one, one of these days.

here's a pic of what's coming to you!

Well, it looks like I was away for far too long. I can't remember even a tenth of the stuff I've cut with my Buck 110 with BG-42 in that time. Today I removed the top of a potato chip bag (the kind you can't tear!), opened the inner bag for some instant garlic-ey mashed potatoes (also un-tearable), and cut the boxtops for bucks thing from the box too.

I did better in the sharpening department too. Last night was the first proper sharpening I did to it since I was here last. I have done "touch-ups" with a worn out "fine" DMT stone, but I was never happy with the results. It would actually slice thin plastic better when I did that, but it wouldn't pop hair and it wouldn't slice more fibrous materials nearly as well as after a propery sharpening with my diamond rods.

Oh! I massacred the last of my Guatemalan IMG M193 battle packs a few weeks ago with it. All of the 30-rd boxes are now free!
