What Did You Cut with Your Buck (Yesterday or Today)?

Today I speared some lingucia and sliced some rolls to make lingucia sammies then tackled some cardboard in the garage using the Dorado 270.
Did great on the sausage. On the cardboard? Ok.

I am totally spoiled with the 110 Buckcote that I used for the same chore a few weeks ago. That knife had much more cardboard to deal with, cut without much force, and didn't "hang".

DON'T get me wrong. I really like the Dorado. It's a dream to pack, looks/feels sturdy as hell, and very practical as an EDC. I would be more comfortable for it to take some spanking than I would the 110 Buckcote (stated in multiple threads as being "brittle" at the tip and having a tendency to edge roll).

BUT, it's like being stuck on a desert island with Jessica Simpson (270) after having spent a summer on the beach with Christina Aguilera (110 Buckcote)...you close your eyes and think of Christina.

Finally had a chance to put my new 181 ATS-34 to work similar to Goose's last picture at the dumpster. Had a lot of cardboard to cut up. Man this baby is sharp!!

Using my Buck 303, I cut a nice piece of "Y" shaped birch branch making a nice rooster. Also later trimmed the end of a good cigar to enjoy some conversation with friends.

Goose,
That's a dilemma I could only dream of being faced with. :o :D

Hope it wasn't serious Goshen!....

I didn't cut anything with a Buck, as yet, today...

However I broke a fingernail and went ahead and kinda tore it on off. Naturally leaving a jagged nail.

But behold, there lays a 137 right over there on the corner of the desk. So slid the steel out and locked it in place and had the jagged nail smoothed down in a flash!!!! :D :D

What a deal!!!

My forearm as I hit the wrong angle of approach while trying to see how sharp at shaving the 889 was after its' first day.

Goose.
Pillockian.

Well Rats!!!! I just put a tiny nick in a finger that drew just enough blood for the bs test meter.

and with an ... 889...... yeah...we were talking on the other thread about oil on those blades. So I have this waterproof plumbers faucet and valve grease that I am rubbing a little dab on the blade with a finger.. Yeah Goose, a little dab will do ya!

So I was making downward motions with my finger off the sharp edge. no idea how I sliced the finger with that light down motion...

Oh yeah,,,a small jar of that liquid bandaid medical superglue is a permanent fixture here on the desk.

I broke down a large pizza box to fit in the trash can with my little Buck/Hartsook neck knife. I'm starting to get very fond of that little knife.

I think there's a connection here...
I cut myself twice with my new 889.
Goose cut himself with his new 889.
PackRat cut himself with his 889.

The curse of the 889?

JackKnife...
NO PICS????
What kine pizza?
I'm partial to double pepperoni and double cheese.

I haven't cut myself with mine yet? What color handle are you boys using? :D
My 889 is Coyote Brown.
I see a Buck Strider and I want it painted black
No colors anymore I want it to turn black
I see the girls walk by dressed in their summer clothes
I have to turn my head until my darkness goes
I see a line of Buck Striders and they're all painted black
With flowers and my love both never to come back
I see people turn their heads and quickly look away
Like a new born baby it just happens evry day
I look inside myself and see my heart is black
I see my Buck Strider and it has been painted black
Maybe then Ill fade away and not have to face the facts
Its not easy facin up when your Buck Strider is black

Awesome song Goose, I like your version too! Maybe the stones will remake it :D

Jim...
I'm thinking the black ones are either sharper than your Coyote...OR, you're a better pilot. Our injuries, well, at least mine, are certainly due to "pilot error".

Here's two pics of my two BS units (with a special sound just for you!):

The top pic represents my EDC non-110/2 folder knives; 174 TNT, 298GY Sirus, and 889 SBMF. The 110 SamDam is just there for size reference.

Thats awesome Goose! (I am more careful) ;)
Who did that version of the song?
I like the all black one too looks cool! The Coyote brown was a good deal though, and its still a Buck!

That version is by "Gob". Some of my buddies don't like the Stones so I found that version for a website I work on.

Nothing wrong with the Coyote to me Jim. I'm thinking of getting one and the OD as well. Wish they had an upgraded steel version with no serrations though.
