What Did You Cut with Your Buck (Yesterday or Today)?

No trophy deer photos here. We can't all have that much fun and adventure.
I had to fix the toilet today.

For the last 10 years I have spent many hours adjusting, repairing, disassembling, reassembling, replacing seals, looking for parts, etc. for the old fill valve on the toilet in my bathroom. Today, I discovered that I could replace the whole dadgum fill valve in 30 minutes for 8 dollars using a new fluidmaster replacement from the local bldg supply.

Buck 705 with 2" clip blade helped out in step number four, "Carefully remove CONE WASHER from center of SHANK WASHER."

I just did the mail with my BG-42icized 110.

I'm down to sharpening about once a week, which is a major breakthrough for me. Unfortunately, last night I just couldn't get the edge I wanted. Curiously, last week I got the best edge I've done to it since I've owned it.

I'm going to go attack some globe grapes now.

Yep Dave...I eat about 4-5 of those a week. For about the past year or whatever, the 298GY was poking the vent holes in those pouches. It is now taking a break while the 110NS BG-42 moves to the front lines.
It's funny...the food I like, the wife and kids won't touch. I can be pretty certain the stuff I like won't run out without my knowing it :D

Yesterday, 110 Golden Eye, a big ass box with a dresser in it that the wife wanted. Hit a big staple and gouged the NS pretty bad. Now it's no longer a virgin. :(
Thinking I should take the rotary tool to it, but not certain what wheel to use to get the polish best, rubbing compund, or elbow grease and chrome polish. ANY TIPS???

Today I used the same 110NS BG-42 to slice up some chipolte sausage and cheddar for an omelette,
Then the same knife to slice and spread some liverwurst on Wonder Bread for a sammie.

Today, with my 110 ,I got at Christmas tin from w.m. I cut some 1/2 " grass rope. That we used to pick up
a big 7 1/16" flange with the crain. Then cut my finger nails.

Come on Goose you aren't going to use the rotary tool on that knife are you?

Jeff

...Gooser ...Do NOT use that rotary thing on the nickel...Yer gonna have "bounce marks" everywhere it hits because you can't hold it steady enough and it doesn't cover a big enough area...How deep are the scratches??...

...By the way...I cut open 3 packages of semi-sweet chocolate and butterscotch morsels...2 one pound bags of walnuts...a one pound bag of pecans and a sugar and flour bag...all with a BG-42 532 ...Yep...I'm makin' cookies...:D :D :p
