What did you do to/with your Becker today?

I used my BK-4 for fun while hiking with a friend. Chopped off a broken tree trunk so no one would accidentally impale themselves on it.

Picked up a sharpening stone and carefully went to work at removing the nicks from yesterday's disaster. Didn't mess up the edge despite freehanding it, and unless you know where to look you can't even see what remains of them.

Moved my BK16 to under the driver seat. Cable broke on my passenger seat's tumble/tilt function, thus I now need to manually actuate the lever under the seat where she used to sit.

With my trusting BK11, I --

- Opened 7 bales of insulation
- cut duct tape 56 times while taping up individual batts of insulation for passing up into the attic through the 23" x 23" ceiling access hole
- opened 14 packages at the PO
- cleaned dirt from under my finger nails.

Amanda and I took our Beckers out picking fiddleheads today. She had her Remora and I had my BK-14.

Then we went back for more.

Stay tuned.

Jeremy

I used the BK-2 and my custom maple baton to whack up some cedar into whittling sticks and small kindling not that I really needed it but it is so much fun to whack stuff that it becomes the raison deeter as the frogs would say. Also tried out the trail hawk Moose gave me the other day.I refinished it using peroxide and salt bath,re tapped the hole for the set screw and put a hickory handle on it.Thanks puddin'

Packed them up for a day trip tomorrow.

Gotta dump a couple weeks in here, I hate trying to navigate photobucket and post pictures from my phone.

Today I stripped my BK2 and BK5. I started sanding on the BK5 with 80 grit and started after that with 120. Still a work in progress. Also with my BK2 I forced a patina first with yellow mustard and then with some apple cider vinegar. Turned out better than expected.

Over the weekend I took my son to the park and just snapped a quick pick of the BK2 pre stripping. Also pictured is my Vanquest Mobius vPacker bag. I really like it for small hikes and EDC if I need a bag.

Also a shot of just the BK2. I love this tank. Still not my BK7 but I love it for different reasons.

The weekend before that I used Freya my BK7 to chop down a small tree just because. I enjoyed the rush.

Wow they look great! I might go with a patina now!

The one on my BK7 is I think nicer than the one I put on the BK2. I just used Apple Cider Vinegar on that one with a q-tip and let it kind of drip around on its own. Once I get my 9 finally I have to decide on if I want to force a patina on her or just let her acquire one through normal useage.
