What did you do to/with your Becker today?

I officially christened my BK2 today by chopping down three saplings. Not sharp my ass, this thing is a beast!

I tried opening one of the Beckers under the tree, the Misses walked in while the paper was still, mostly, on. Thankfully she didn't want to have to rewrap the whole thing otherwise I would have had to outrun her with a BK4 in her hand...

I, uh, how does one say this discreetly...? I leveraged a rind of pepper jack from its original packaging.
(Saying I cut the cheese with my BK15 is just so....:chargrined:)

Put a nice spot of red on my newest 2 yesterday.

Used my 11 to open the newly aquired 24. Now the big question, do I wrap it and put it under the tree or do i start making scales? I think I'll wrap an empty box :)

This week, batonned small pieces of wood for kindling, batonned large pieces of wood, opened bags of thin set, scraped thin set off tiles, cut carpet strips, cut out drywall sections, pryed off a door threshold, notched a piece of 2x4, cut vapor barrier paper, stripped wire, demurred abs pipe, opened various packages, opened lots of craft beers, sharpened it, cleaned it and ordered her a new sheath and micarta handles. This baby doesn't get babied! Here is a picture of my blade after one year of similar use.

Dressed, skinned and cleaned a squirrel (my first killed via air rifle) with my BK2 today. This knife is wildly inappropriate for the task at hand, yet it did a great job (the initial incision was rough but all else was just fine). So now I think I've dressed game with every Becker I own (BK9, BK2, BK16, BK11) *except* the BK13 - probably the most well suited to the task.

Hrm - need to get on that...

Beckerhead #42

Got a BK-16 today for Christmas. Put it to use for collecting Red Osier for primitive arrow shafting.

Too dark for pics, but lopped off a small tree limb leaving my sister's with my new BK-9.

Used my 24 to cut stuffed pork loin. Could've prolly cut it with a butter knife it was so tender....but the 24 was way more fun.
