What did you do to/with your Becker today?

WTF? I'm speechless. Never knew some squrriels got that large. I see now why lots of people eat them. Descent amount of meat on them bastids. I pulled 50+ pine cones from underneath my Mom's truck hood a couple months ago. She has a squirrel problem out there. I think I'm gonna have my first taste of squrriel meat next time I go out to the farm.:D that's got to be fun to get a bunch of squrriels that size in a day and have a big supper. How do they taste?

I like them (and so does my somewhat picky wife) pan-fried with salt and pepper. Last night, I fried one for about 20 min on medium in a cast iron skillet with frequent flips and it was outstanding. Your mileage may vary.

Squirrels as large as a BK9?!? The world is coming to an end gentlemen, prepare yourselves.

Indeed. They are pretty much all muscle and tough as nails. If they weighed 100 pounds, they would rule the earth.

Shined up my 7 today. Hand rubbed all the way to 5000 grit

Dispatched two Canadian Geese with my 11. The 11 is my go to knife when I'm hunting waterfowl. Its much easier to access a knife hanging around my neck when wearing bibs or waders.

Fixed up my crewman: polished the blade, put a new edge on it, cleaned the micarta, and fixed the retention on its Kydex sheath

I've been seeing squirrels in our town around my neighborhood. Kind of strange for these parts, but I also see opossum (in the yard & garage), racoons (fighting for the best tree hides and eating fruit from our trees), (stupid fireworks still going off, that was LOUD!!), nobody told the furry things that these are suburbs, not wilderness. Maybe a .22 short would go unnoticed, but I don't know where these squirrels have been eating.

Trimmed off this dead snag from the little burnt coastal redwoods in front, poor tree gets too hot in the summer.

Maybe make a walking stick out of it sometime.

Those are some big Fox Squirrels. We have large ones out here in Iowa also. I shot one last week at my buddies farm. Pictures does it no justice for size.

Hey Tobiism ......

Really like the rehafting job on the machete....... I always wonder why more machetes do not have similar handles......

Had a busy weekend of Handle Mods and making some lanyards. The Scale Insert for the 16 took the most time but it was worth it.

Trying to make new scales for my BK15. Scanned the BK15. Traced around the scanned image. Scale to fit. Create 3D object from the tracing. Tried to fillet the edges but the CAD software is giving me issues. I figured I can round off the remaining edges by hand. Convert the CAD drawing to G-Code and cut out of Micarta on the CNC router. Here is the rough finish right scale.
