What did you do to/with your Becker today?

Used my BK11 (recently sharpened with my new Ken Onion WorkSharp) to slice some apple and horseradish pecan cheddar for a snack at my desk.

Decided to clean up the braches in my back yard. Tried out my Ontario Ranger 4 on the small stuff and it did ok I guess. However, I used it to take a few whacks at a larger log and it had zero success. Now, I know this ranger isn't made for any kind of chopping, but the way it was just bouncing off made me think the log was petrified. Don't get me wrong, the log was pretty darn dense......so I thought, let me grab the king and see what happens. THIS is what happened......

LONG LIVE THE KING!!!

I used the BK2 today to cut some twine to stake some trees in the back garden. I also used it to open some kids toys packaging for my boy. This afternoon I will be utilising the 15 to carve some meat.

Kero good to see the 9 ripped the ass out of that wood, nice work mate.

Today I acid etched the logos, stripped the blade and polished the spine of my sweet BK2

Now it's ready to work

Damn iPad camera. didnt think it would turn out this bad, but oh well......you get the idea. Trainwrecker chops through bones and the edge didn't even know it.

Set up a mouse pad/sandpaper block and started to work on convex-ing my 16.
While I was at it, I used some 600 grit to smooth out the factory coating.

Really like the way this is going so far!
The laser-etched BK&T symbol stands out quite a bit more. I think for a true convex I will have to devote a bit more time to it. Then pick up some polishing compound for the strop set-up I'm making next...

I sliced an apple with my BK15 and managed to slice a bit off the end of my finger while doing it.

Finally got around to cleaning up and doing some maintenance, including sharpening on a couple 9's, my Cincinnati 4 and a village farmer kukri. I got everything cleaned up, sharpened and put away when it occurred to me I should've taken a picture or two. Doh!! I'm an idiot when it comes to remembering to take pictures while I'm doing stuff. I wasn't about to get stuff back out just to pretend like it was real time. Maybe next time.

Cooked a couple of steaks out in the snow today:

using the BK-15. World's best steak knife.:o

(Sorry about the problem with the second pic - tried three times to fix it.)

Cut birthday cake with my 15. The cake was a big hit. One person commented on how big the 15 was. HAH! I kept quiet, 'cause, you know.....sheeple.
