What did you do to/with your Becker today?

Had a little chop-off (not really, I was just having fun ) with my Boomslang, Machete .230, Junglas and Brute. Just cleaned and oiled them. I love the Junglas, but it seems to rust up at the drop of a hat. Surprisingly, the Brute seems to not be very rust prone. Maybe there was something to the Camillus steel formula - my Cam 2 doesn't seem to rust either. I wish I took pics, but I didn't. They all hit pretty hard. Condor's quality seems to have come a ways. Definitely all pretty fun, especially now that the Brute has an actual edge and isn't just a barely sharpened hammer.

Oh, yeah....also feathered a little with (one of) my 15(s). A little KO convex is a good thing.

That's a bummer, man. Hopefully it will make it to you soon. Most airlines can track it down pretty quickly.

I think I've decided that I'm going to carry a blade that I don't mind if it disappears.
Luckily they found and delivered my bags today.Which was just in time as I fly back home tomorrow. I'm glad I oiled my bk2 before packing it since my luggage felt like it was left out in the rain the entire time it was missing. (This is also the reason I put my clothes inside a trash bag inside my suitcase, prevents them from getting soaked in transit)

Today I thought the BK2 could do with a touch up. So I hit it with some superfine sandpaper, and little time on the polishing wheel.

Then I decided to use the Ken Onion and change the blade angle from 25 degree angle to 22.5. It's scary sharp now.

Went from this

To this

Looks like your using the edge guide on the ko. Try using it with it flipped up and you'll be able to sharpen the entire edge evenly. I was doing the same and that portion that couldn't reach the belt bugged me, especially since it gets worse the more you sharpen it. It's pretty easy still with it out of the way, you just gotta be careful when the tip drops onto the belt. Practise with a cheap blade first

Thanks Bobby. I think also the BK2 being so wide plays a part. But will definately give it a go next time flipped up. To be honest I haven't tried it up.

It gives the appearance that it's a slight recurve when yeah, in actual fact your totally missing the first part of the blade. Cheers man.

Last night I used my BK4 to split 2x4s for a fire, and tonight I used it to make kindling for a fire at my house.

I spent some time outside today cooking up some chili and used my BK14 to protect myelf from coyotes, rattlers and the occasional squirrel that would get just a haaaiiir too close.

It was nice watching these little guys at our birdfeeder. They're not real timid.

Used my bk14 to open my truck shipment I was receiving at work, and used the 16 to cut some paracord from hauling my bike in the top of the Ford

Used the 16 cut some bamboo in the backyard. During fireworks made a popcorn snack bowl for my girls

Used my bk2 to trim back some overgrown bushes in the yard, then carved my daughter a small bow and arrows to play with using the trimmings and fishing line. Afterwards I gave it a better spit shine after cleaning it off.

As nice as the bk2 looks all shiny and polished up, I've decided I'm going to go with my original plans of bluing it. It was fun to do but it really isn't practical to try maintaining that mirror polish on a knife like the bk2 that gets pounded thru wood regularly. It's not a safe queen
