What did you do to/with your Becker today?

I did 757 miles in a car with my BK16 and BK14 riding along. Great scenery, great music, and great knives....only thing that would make it better is if my wife could have come with me.

Made short work of a BBQ'd 'chicken breast.....the beans I ate whole.

Took a break from my work road trip to do about 3 miles of trail hikes at Petrified Forest National Park. My 14 was my hiking buddy today.

Great pic SP - doesn't look Required in that landscape.
I'm sorry, you must be speaking something other than English. What is this "doesn't look required" of which you speak? What does that mean, "not required?" [emoji6] j/k

I just have a hard time hitting the trail without something. I did forget to mention that my 16 was in my pack as well. [emoji3]

I touched up my BK24 on my Spyderco Sharpmaker today in preparation for tonight's outdoor eatin'.

The weather is hot and humid and perfect for an outside evenin' meal.

What are those two brass rod looking things for on that spyderco? Ive watched some vids and never saw anyone do anything with them.

Hi JDMiller....

Those brass rods are there to protect the hand that you hold the sharpener with, should your blade slip off and past the ceramic stones. So far, they've worked! (Knock on wood.)

Wow that's a really old version of the sharp maker isn't it ? I've gotta do my 14 on my sharpmaker soon , it's dull as dish water.

Quick hike to Jones Pass, CO yesterday. I'm nowhere near the level of photojournalist like Mauser and the like, so thought I'd share my few meager iPhone pics here instead of making a new thread. :o

Took my 17 and 4 along with my Condor pack:
Edit: you can kind of see in this pic I finally got around to getting stainless hardware for all my Beckers (thanks Dex!), and the scales on the 17 are the tan stock but dyed with Rit, came out a darker brown, with some of the tan poking through, thought for once I did a decent "mod" all by myself!

View of the valley facing East. Bet you can't tell which mountain is being stripped by the mine in the pic.

Had to make our way up this slightly sketchy ridge

Didn't really have a whole lot to cut on this trip:grumpy: so I stuck my Beckers in the snow on the first day of August:

So nice hike although I didn't get to use my Beckers as much as I would have liked to. Hope I didn't bore you Beckerheads too much, and thanks for looking. :)

It sure is! I bought it in about 1985 at a gun show in Ventura CA. It does well for my 24. The sheath is driving me crazy though. I sharpen it, and my sheath unsharpens it. Over and over. I HAVE to buckle down and do something about that.

I also have a Spyderco Fold-A-Vee Sharpmaker which I have never used except to recently touch up my BK7 :D .

Regards as always.

Used my new 15 to make some corn casserole and chicken breasts for the first dinner in my girlfriend's new apartment. I made a lot, we're both eating it today also. Haha

Great TR there cf; I disagree you should have made your own thread with pics like that. LOVE any time spent above the tree line, but your right, makes it hard to justify bringing all that steel lol. Thanks for sharing.

Made some steak:

Also I switched out the black scaled for the tan on my 15 (bonus hot wheels wrench):

And I strapped all my Beckers together:
