What did you do to/with your Becker today?

Quick hike to Jones Pass, CO yesterday. I'm nowhere near the level of photojournalist like Mauser and the like, so thought I'd share my few meager iPhone pics here instead of making a new thread. :o

Took my 17 and 4 along with my Condor pack:
Edit: you can kind of see in this pic I finally got around to getting stainless hardware for all my Beckers (thanks Dex!), and the scales on the 17 are the tan stock but dyed with Rit, came out a darker brown, with some of the tan poking through, thought for once I did a decent "mod" all by myself!

View of the valley facing East. Bet you can't tell which mountain is being stripped by the mine in the pic.

Had to make our way up this slightly sketchy ridge

Didn't really have a whole lot to cut on this trip:grumpy: so I stuck my Beckers in the snow on the first day of August:

So nice hike although I didn't get to use my Beckers as much as I would have liked to. Hope I didn't bore you Beckerheads too much, and thanks for looking. :)

Nice pics CF1969. Great idea the Becker's in the snow on August 1st. Beautiful up there but that extreme elevation messes me up quick. I try not to go over 9000 feet to much if I can help it. I like the rit dyed peanut butter handles, looks pretty good from what I can see. I have some brown rit dye that I thought about doing that too but never did it.

Still should've posted up a separate thread. Pics are good enough....and most of us love threads like this. That is pretty cool (haha), snow in August.
Seriously, though. Separate post. Lotta folx won't see it in here....

Thanks guys- I think had I actually cut something on that hike a little more exciting then a PB&J I would have started new. Going to try to make it back there soon, and spend a little more time there a little lower in the trees and practice some skills, it is a perfect place for that. On a sad note: my Beckerhead patch you see on my 17 sheath was lost somewhere on the hike! :(

Maus- I used the hunter green dye on those- it's kind of a two-tone look. I like it much better then the PB!

Used my Patrol Machete to help clear a spot to setup my trail camera. Trying to find the perfect tree stand location.

No pictures. It was hot and I was pressed for time.

I swapped out the scales on my BK10 with some Tommythewho Honduran Rosewood scales. I dig their look. Next thing will be etching and stripping, hopefully this weekend.

I used my 4 for pretty much everything over a 4 day camping trip. Cooking, eating, wood splitting, plain fun. It bit me hard during some stupidity, and it needs a sharpening, but it was a good time.

Yesterday I made an 11 and a half. Check out the modification thread for further details.

Clearing out bamboo with a Becker and a Bahco on a blazing hot day.

Today was the inaugural run for my Laplander. I tell you what...not sure there isn't much one couldn't do with this combination by way of wood processing. They play very well together.

Used my 11 mod to make lunch...an apple and brie with crackers.....

Crap. Now I am going to go get myself a wheel of brie. I love that stuff. President is the best cut, imo.

I suspect you are talking about Camembert, not Brie, unless you like carrying a pizza size or around 14" or so wheel with you. 😋 Maybe you should try the non-US version (if you can somehow get it..mybe Canada?) much better tasting as not pasteurised to start with. American rules means you miss out a a whole range of cheeses.
