What did you do to/with your Becker today?

I've always wondered if that was doable, as I've seen many beads with small holes that would look amazing on a lanyard. Appreciate the test. Looks groovy!

Well, I guess doable is relative. Half of it was destroyed but the good half survived if'n ya ask me. I have another one that I will try the same thing with in a week or two. I didn't have the energy to do both of them.

I think it is worth a try if you find one that you like. I would like to see your results.

Thanks Keroscene!

So this technically isn't today... it was sunday but I've been busy so...

I went for a hike and found this beat up turkey feather... I cleaned it up and put it on the rock on the side of the trail, it wasn't there when I came back through

On top of the ridgeline the gratuitous knives in a log pic, BK17 and 11 were my hiking buddies for the day

When I got home the wife told me the chicken roaster was done and needed carving, BK15 handled the task

I got my 710 sheath for my BK12, and I took off the factory grips and brass weights and replaced them with some Tommythewho cocobolo wood scales.

The scales grabbed my attention as soon as I saw them. I knew I had to get a pair even though it pushed my already thin budget (from picking up the 12).

I have been watching all of his auctions for about a month and a half now and have yet to see this "cocobolo". How often does he have the cocobolo? Need to get me some!

I hadn't seen it before either, then one day it was there a few weeks ago. There were 4 I think, and I the time I was "thinking" about getting one, three had sold. So I decided to jump on it. Glad I did!

Destroyed a smoked turkey leg at Centerfest Festival for the Arts in downtown Durham...

Love these things! It's like a caveman snack.

So good...tastes just like ham.
For $10, I'm not missing a morsal!
The 14 made light work of it.

I love how you're drinking the 'Gansett from Rhody, brewed in Rochester, NY.....with a turkey leg from NC.

Made fish tacos tonight with the 15 on KP for the fish:

6 out of 6 people said they were tasty.

$4 for a 16oz seemed like a deal to me!
I freekin' love some fish tacos. One pet peeve I have tho is when the fish is batter fried...doesn't make sense for a taco. Broiled, grilled, or baked is the shizz. How did it take so long for this to come around? Bonus points if served with fresh lime...now I'm hungry!

This was lightly seasoned/breaded(?, no bread but a little mix half-n-half corn & wheat flours) then fried with some already cooked sweet onions. Batter fried don't go in tacos - it gets eaten with (homemade) French Fries. MmmMmm.....fryolator......................

Since I'm still waiting for my 14... (my dealer told me it'll be late October before he gets them again)...

I made new extended micarta scales for my beloved 11 :) Now it has a full 4 finger grip and is very comfortable for a prolonged use.

Made from 4mm micarta leftovers (hence the strange hole alignment) and aluminum chainring bolts.

For the 17 I started to build a minimalist Kydex sheath... There is still some work to do: change the bolts to rivets and install pushbuttons for a removable belt clip
