What did you do to/with your Becker today?

Some Campfire work!

Had a little chop-off between the 20 & the 21. Not gonna lie...in my hand, the 21 is a much better chopper. Granted, I have a little more experience with it, but....I really gave the Bundok a good workout before fetching the RBK. For me, the RBK is a much more natural extension of my arm. Heavier, for sure....but it makes up for it with performance that takes a lot less effort. Mind, the Bundock is still a boatload of fun to use, and the carry system blows the doors off the factory RBK sheath - I won't be able to belt carry that thing until I spring for (or make my own) an aftermarket sheath - but I've got a backup of the RBK....don't think I'll buy a second BK20.

Tuesday night under the lights, working up a bit of a sweat. Plenty of chips to rake up:

Of course, it might have been the VZ grips on the RBK that gave it the advantage. Those things with gloves & a lanyard = relaxed but secure grip. I'll be doing some more testing, for sure.

Nothing better looking than a knife that's been used, IMO.

Put the 20 to work recently (a little slow in getting it posted). First, it cleaned up a good sized branch that fell in the yard...about 8 ft long, and maybe 4" across at its thickest. I didn't take pictures of that... but here it is posing by the remnants of the resultant fire. ]

That gnarly, knotted up thing it's posing with is the last piece of a tree I chopped down last year. It needed to be smaller.

I used my 20 to chop up some dead blackberry canes for the firepit and a bunch of Rose of Sharon branches for the compost. Jim Bensinger put an edge on it this weekend (thank you Jim!) at the NE gathering and I'm getting to love it. I need to make a new lanyard for it though.

I gave a stubborn vintage minibike tire an "attitude adjustment" (my son and I are restoring a 1968 Rupp Roadster that I got when I was youngster).

Could you perhaps post a tutorial on those lanyards? You really spoiled me with those two but I need more and I wanna learn! ;)

Laid out my new 20, 5, 4, modified 7, and 10 on the bed for some light petting.

.......did some moding today

I removed the black OEM finish from my BK9 and BK16 amd did some smoothing/polishing. I have custom kydex sheaths for both.

Nothing wrong with a "Little Becker" if you know how to use it.

Used the 11 to dig up some mint after i gave my barber some cilantro. Hes another foodie. Roughed up the edge a bit. I was a bit disappointed but I look forward to sharpening session.

When you don't have a workbench built yet, your chisels are in storage and the power is out you still need a special wren house for mom!
