What did you do to/with your Becker today?

Man, I love this 17. I think I'll be posting here more often

Hell yeah! Man...I gotta get mine done so I can use it...
Been holding off for some mods.
Keep em coming!

I showed off a couple of my Becker mods to a customer - who is now a friend and fellow knife enthusiast. 'Twas quite fun, and I got to handle a couple CRK's (Chris Reeve) that he had.....always great to find a kindred spirit in the neighborhood. Might even convince him to join us for the next Northeast Gathering.

Got some unexpected use out of my bk4 today when removing a 30 yr old door jam wasnt quite as easy as we thought it would be.

Used my 11 to clean old plumber's putty out of the threads of a hose bib on a garden faucet after a pvc pipe cracked due to ground shrinkage as our heavy clay soil dries out under high 90F/ low 100F days.

Then I used the 11 to cut a short garden hose shorter to make a fill hose for a new rain barrel.

Then I used my 6 to decapitate the seed heads off a few hundred Johnson Grass stalks.

Finally stripped the 9, citristrip fuggin rocks, way better than doing by hand with sandpaper,, gonna hand polish it with paper when get home though.

Does it have to be today? I haven't been around in a bit, how about 5 pics from 3 backpacking trips over the last month

I got handed a bunch of really old painted cardboard (from a VBS event as far as I'm aware) as part of a clean-up/demo job at my church, only blade I had on me was the BK20 that was in the trunk of my car from my last camping trip.

This blade is really getting a lot of work from me and is still going strong on the factory edge.

Ignore the weird camera angle, this picture was originally taken as a joke poking fun at a certain style of posting knife pictures.

So... you weren't actually carrying any blade on your person? Sacrilege!!! Burn the heretic!!!

I've lost a bit of interest in folding knives at the moment, and my fixed blades can't be carried at work so I have my box cutter that's left at work and whatever's in my car/bag. This time it was the 20.

Mine 1st bite also tonight slicing a nice 15 inch piece of freshly baked bread, my free5 from the 20 package was a little sharper than i thought my fault, Great blade and you gotta see the sheath 710 did for mine,
Heel quick and as always
KEEP EM SHARP

My BK10 visited the fire pit this evening.
My 11 y.o. son asked if he could make a fire with the fire steel and flint instead of a lighter or matches.
I told him to have at it, and he did.
Successfully.

Lunchtime!

15 for the apple (so slicey!) and daizee's rigging knife (just received) for the Italian dry salame. Triscuits not pictured, as they don't cut very well....

All these kitchen and cooking pics remind me of what dorks we all are lol. I love it. My wife is so used to me using my knives for kitchen duty that now she will actually ask me if I want to cut up the vegetables or prep anything before she does it first. She'll just yell out "hey hubby, want to use your knife?" hahaha. Beckerheads are an odd breed indeed.

I was off today and decided it was high time the 20 and me got a workout. For the 3" dry branches I decided to go with the laplander as it was cloudy and very humid, so I hacked at smaller branches and then battoned the thicker chunks. Got a gnarly stump that didn't want to split, even banging on the 20 with a 3' long baton, but guess who won :D

the 20 didn't flinch, no flex whatsoever. Had to use a wedge and some no-no battoning, i.e. whack the handle
