What did you do with your CRK today?

Trying out the new 21 I picked up yesterday and decided to have some fun making a 'knife'.

Today, I had some mangos to prepare. It seems my Large Seb 21 Insingo Micarta is the best food prep knife I've got, so...

The Insingo blade is amazingly useful. It truly feels like a small folding chef's knife.

Mine cut open a box of exhaust parts for one of our pickups, cut off some loose rubber hanging on our swather and pretty much a regular day. Nrthfce, how do you guys like the Massey Swathers? We're running a NH H8080 with the 19ft header. We've talked of trying a macdon or Massey but neither one offers a 19 ft head. We're cutting in front of a silage cutter so the bigger the windrow the better.
Don't yell at me for how I use my knives...
Yesterday it opened boxes and shrink wrapping from around new landed gear supports on our hay trailers, cut up wild game snack sticks, cut the plastic wrap off our new swather seats, and cut through an irrigation hose that blew apart.

Today it scraped paint off a joint that needed a weld, cut through a header belt I broke, cut salami and cheese for lunch, cut the head off a rattlesnake and now is back riding in the swathed.

Was going to use my new Sebenza for some cardboard dismantling when I couldn't find it. I then walked into my ex's room and found this...
My dog 'Blade' with my new blade.:D

^^^ My last cat would grab my Hinderers by the lanyards and make off with them. :D :D :D :D

That's good.

I'll have to keep a closer eye on my daughter's cat around mine.

What cracks me up is the little filcher took my heavy ass Hinderers, but didn't steal any Sebs. HAHAHA!

I only had him a month (long story), but after I returned him I found XM's hidden under my bed. :D :D

Working on a farm is just seasonal work for me so I am not loyal to one line of equipment. This, however, is my 17th season and 10th new swather lineup. I have ran case/ih (good) , jd(better), nh(better yet), and last 2 models of Massey (best). Haven't run Mcdon cause we keep getting told their headers are weak. Our needs may be different here since we only get 2-3 cuttings so we really max out the growth of the alfalfa and mixed hay. Out past two lineup have been all Massey as they have made huge strides in the past couple years that have imho put them ahead of the competition. Their weak point is laying down flattened grass hay where they start burning belt that turn some feeder baskets. We would love headers bigger than our 16foot headers but haven't found a machine behind it with enough power to cut 4-5 ton/acre yields. Maybe if someone would commission CRK to make the blades we would really have something 😄

I'm surprised he didn't go for any of your graphic Sebs, I would've. ;) :p
Maybe he was working some trades.

My small micarta insingo had a real tough job today...opening the package to his new stablemate. It's like an initiation process for my knives; to deliver their brothers and sisters into the world. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1434816082.269731.jpg

I let this one out of it's shipping box prison... :D

Very nice. I really like the almost 'spear point' design of the blade.

Happy Father's Day to the dads! I used my CRK this morning to open very thoughtful gifts from my kids.

Happy Fathers day! my Sebenza won't get my time out today other than admiring it and fixing the edge near the tip, but yesterday was quite the day...image.jpg
However, I did discover how easily my sebenza cuts down to bone yesterday, 3 stitches on the joint cap and 8 external stitches later. To add insult to injury my sebenza got pulled out of my pocket getting out of the truck when I got home and fell on the pavement. Luckily it only caused a minor edge ding that'll get fixed today.

Your link doesn't work but I think I'm grateful. I don't enjoy seeing injuries. Hope you heal up soon.
