What did you use your knife for today?

I used my NMSFNO today for chopping on a log to see what she would do. I'm satisfied still shaves arm hair, after chopping for some time.

Last night, as I mindlessly watched the tube, the voices told me to clean the revolvers... So, I needed to cut some bulk packed rifle/shotgun sized cotton patches down to size - out came my Buck 172 Mayo TNT.

Actually, the 'voices' turned out to be my wife's... as she asked if was going to use that 'smelly stuff', Hoppes #9, in the LR. I replied that it was indeed the smell that reminded me of 'Liberty, Freedom, and the pursuit of Happiness (PLINKING!)'. She informed me that my mental state was in question - and that my beloved Jennefer L-H's 'Ghost Whisperer' would not be on - instead, more 'Survivor' dribble. Well, the Mayo TNT reduced the large patches to small patches with ease - before I retreated to my 'office' and the PC - away from such mindless trash on the tube.

I used my Newberry EDC to cut a string loose that my son had managed to tie around his waist so tight he couldnt untie or get it off. Dad to the rescue.

Benchmade Griptilian to cut out styrofoam 6" squares that are 2" thick, glue them together, and then shape them into a ball. Don't ask, kids school project.... They needed styrofoam balls 6" diameter, and I have no idea where to buy something like that, so I made them myself, with stuff I had in the garage.

They normally have them at major craft stores.

and since I woke up about 30 minutes ago the only thing i've done is cut open a case of water.

Leatherman Wave took a beating today, :) rewiring the rear brake light and indicators on my BMW R65 motorcycle project, and opening a tin of tuna for a snack.
And whittling a stick, just for fun.

I love that smell. Reminds me of Grandpa.

I'd love to use my knife to "open" some "rappers" in CA... I'd start with Sean "Puffy" Combs :D

Yester I used my douk douk to:

Cut bread for sandwitch
Cut clices of cheese/ vegitables
Cut an apple
Cut a pastry in half to share
Accidently cut my finger
Open 3 letters and a package
Dig a splinter out from under my fingernail (ouch)
As a steak knife (worked great)

And I used my RAT izula to:
Cut a little rope
Trim string on shirt
Open one of those clamshell packages
Cut some cardboard boxes up to throw them away
Cut paracord while making a lanyard.

All in all a pretty busy day

After careful selection, I opened a sack of birdseed with my RAT-1. While it did an adequate job, I am wondering whether a Sebenza would have enhanced the spiritual experience.

Hi BenLankford -

I used my Kershaw Zing to cut up and apple for lunch, open a bag of ice-melt and open a box that was shipped to me.

best regards -

Don't hate the musicians, hate the disrespectful people that that feel we need to hear their music two blocks away while in our livingrooms!

I used my LM Charge Ti all night long on the job for a multitude of different task. What a handy brute!!! :D:thumbup:

:)

Yestarday I used the tip of my Scrapyard SOD to drill some holes in 1/16" aluminum.
There was some very light edge rolling at the worst.

A section of my back fence went down in one of the storms. (After ~30 years of being gnawed on by termites.) The entire fence needs to be replaced, but that won't happen for another month. I put the section back up yesterday and am using poly-twine to keep it there. A GEC Scout in 1095 saw action cutting the twine. I also used it to cut up a box so that it would fit in the recycle bin more easily.

I was cutting some OSB by myself, so I used my ZDP Delica to cut off those unavoidable little 'nubs' that happen at the end of the cut when you're holding the saw with one hand and the cutoff piece with the other. I also used it to trim a cutout around a pipe that was just a little too snug.

I used my Leek to cut some duct tape while doing some chores in the garage. I then used it to cut my thumb while cutting said duct tape.

I used my Spyderco Manix 2 and opened packages/boxes that arrived today. managed to not cut any part of me while doing this! :D

I sat on the couch just opening and closing my Buck 279T, really slow sunday...might break out the Spyderfly later.
