What did you use your knife for today?

I was hanging my wife's Sky Chair from a tree, and used the Wharncliffe blade on my Case/Bose Norfolk to trim the thick plastic coating on the support chain, as well as pruning a few impeding branches and trimming back the chair's nylon ropes before tying them off.

Also used the same blade to reduce the chair's ratty old box to recycle bin-sized pieces, cut some ribbons, tape and wrapping paper for a Valentine's day gift, and sliced some carrots and hard parmesan cheese for a snack. :)

I used my black Kershaw Tyrade to open a torx bit screwdriver that I bought from Lowe's today so I could switch it to tip up carry.

Opened the mail and two packages, cut open a bubble pack of Bic lighters, cut up a Subway sandwich, used the scissor to make some address labels and used the screwdriver to fix a fan. It was a Vic explorer.

Opened some new cat food and litter this morning with my Tenacious. Was going to help someone move and hoped to be cutting up some boxes but never got the call. Later, I found my way to the produce market and came home with a sweet treat. Gave my new Millie a turn at showing off.

Used my Spyderco Endura 4 to open a package that came today - a new knife I won on one of the giveaways here on BF. Used a knife . . . got a knife . . . today was a good day.

thx - cpr

Just got up and cut up a pack of paper tissues - one cut around the whole pack. I think that way it's way more easier to take one out of the package:

I used my ZDP-189 Delica to:

1. Cut up a cereal box
2. Cut up 2 tuna boxes and a box of Folgers coffee
3. Cut open a bag of hot dogs for BBQ
4. Cut up an empty box of tissues
5. Cut an orange
6. Swap scales with my waved D4 to give this one the blue scales :D

Not a bit of rust or discoloration after I didn't clean it right away with the 2 food products!

Today I used my Strider PT-CCX to open the wrap on a "Dances With Wolves" Soundtrack CD, slice open the mail, and open up a fruit snack pack. I hope tomorrow is a little more exciting.

I used my Farmer to clean my nails. Then I used my SuperTool as a paperweight. Been a slow day...

Used my Emerson Persian today: to slice a plateful of hard pepperoni and extra sharp Cabot cheddar cheese, cut the twine off a hay bale, dig into the core of a 5 inch dia. apple wood branch to check the likelyhood of it being carved by my son into a boken, and trimmed a plastic cup down to a height suitable for our 3 month old kitten to drink milk from (before on of the German Shepards gets to it).
Trivial chores with a sinister blade.
I love this thing!

I helped a friend move last night, and did some electricity work at her new place (she's just clueless about even the most basic stuff). I used my Leatherman Juice and Spyderco J.D. Smith for a lot of things, from cutting boxes and wire to making lunch and taking heaters apart.

Fun weekend!

I used my Benchmade 710 last night to prep the two dozen roses I got for my wife and cut open a package I recieved in the mail (which btw was another knife :D ) This morning I used my 180 outbounder to prep fruit and a few other food related items for breakfeast this morning..

Took my new CS Folding Bushman out yesterday and batoned it to cut some fatwood (I grew up calling it "rich pine") from a stump.

It worked quite well, but I am having to get used to the size of that knife. I think in the future I will stick to smaller folders and leave larger knives to fixed blades.
