What did your SAK do today?

Cut a label to mail a package and cut some paracord. Both times I used the scissors on my executive.

This happened over the weekend, I was at a wedding and used my cadet to unscrew a center piece from the packaging for a bridesmaid in distress.

Saw along with my busse team gemini and fiskars x7 hatchet to chop and saw through some weed bushes a couple of inches around.

Soldier.

Opened a can of coffee. Yes, you can still get ground coffee in a can.

Today my Vic Pioneer:

Cut some paracord (blade)
Cut off a pad of butter when making some pasta w/ cream sauce (blade)
Tightened the screws on the handle of my fridge (phillips driver on can opener)

And something else I can't remember...

Alox Soldier.

Pulled some staples from some reports. Opened a package of nuts. Cut up some puppy chow to feed the birds. And poked a hole in the lid of my coffee.

Oh, forgot: opened some pistachios with the large driver.

Alox Cadet.

Used the can opener to cut open fifty cellophane bags at work. Using the can opener let me keep the tool out and in my hand as I was moving boxes and sorting items as part of the job.

And to think that I had thought that the can opener was pointless...

Used the top lifter on my rambler to crack open a beer. First time I've used that tool, and I can say it's not quite as good as the tool on 91mm models.

It helped disassemble our old home audio station, to make room for a new one.
We needed a flathead screwdriver and a knife. I said: wait a minute, I've got it. Took out my Cadet and got it fixed.

Yesterday my Gardener rode around in my pocket for a few hours and got covered with perspiration while I did yard work. With nylon handles and stainless blades, it is none the worse for the abuse.

My Alox Cadet took some tags off of a travel pillow, tightened the screw on a little tripod for my P&S camera, cut through some tyvek-like envelopes... and unboxed a new Executive.

I've owned a couple of mid-size (Explorer, Evo 18) and one large (no idea) SAK for years, and never found them compelling. These little ones are addictive, and I'm trying to limit myself to one a month. The Executive is a week early, since it's my November purchase.
