What do y'all do for a living?

A Yankee?! I hope you clarify and tell them that you're in fact a 'yinzer :p Where are you from in Pittsburgh? I was born and raised there.

I'm a full-time student at The Pennsylvania State University and a semester away from getting my undergrad degree in Veterinary and Biomedical Sciences. After that it's vet or grad school for me.

To make money I am an assistant manager at a county pool but have also worked in a cabinet shop for 2 years and a pizza shop for 5.

North Fayette Twp. What part of town are you from?

My title is "Complex Services Senior MPLS Implementation Engineer." Which means my team gets any of the work that requires customer configurations for implementing voice and data solutions for small to medium businesses. I work from design down through implementation of the customer solutions for these customers.

I am an optometrist, since 11 years ago, and I run a small shop making glasses and contacts for who ever needs it.

I am slowly growing tired of my job, and I am considering letting go of Denmark and head to the US and try a new way of life there.
So who knows, mayby I'll come bother you guys within the next couple of years.

You wouldn't be a bother at all! It would be nice to see you at all of the shows.

Retired and loving it. Forty years slaving was enough. Got lucky and finally found a boss who wanted to get rid of me as much as I wanted to leave. Took the early retirement package and never looked back. Lesson to live by: Take the money and run.

I'm going to be a senior in the fall...a college student doing physics/math degrees.... I want to go into condensed matter theory.

I am plastic magician :)

Currently a full time student whilst working part time at a small international bakery/cafe chain.

I figured most of the people here are ex-military, but what's surprising, to me at least, is the amount of medical professionals.

Great thread!

I was in the OR when the surgeon walked in. He emptied his pockets on the table in the back. Put his watch down and pager. A bit later his pager went off and when the nurse grabbed the pager I noticed a small Damascus slip joint. We ended up having a good conversation about it.
