I will start.

Work for a large chemical producer. Been there almost 17 years and use my knives daily cutting cardboard opening boxes, cutting stretch film and plastic banding material, bags of powdered chemicals and even some sheetmetal insulation jacketing.

Where are the rest of you guys Emerson's being put to use?

Shit like this.

Well doc, I'm a doc too... well, a PhD at least (with a couple of MA's to boot)--I'm a Professor at a large Los Angeles university (over ten years now). As you can imagine, not much action for my Emersons there. I'm also a martial arts instructor, at least for the basics classes (I'm a 2nd degree black belt)--primarily I practice aikido, but I incorporate my Ueshi-ryu karate and jujitsu training into what I teach. The latter is a newer gig, though I have been training for a while. Knives do come into play on the mat, but strictly wooden ones and/or trainers.

Just a student for now, hopefully a mechanical or petroleum engineer one day. Mostly mundane odd jobs as of now.

It's a power house. We work in refineries too. Fitters get around lol.

Cool. I thought it looked familiar, was a station laborer at a nuke for a bit. Work with fitters where I am often, even some riggers from time to time.

I work IT system support (and a bunch of other stuff) in a warehouse. A real blade (not the plastic toys they give people to use there) comes in handy for boxes, styrofoam, computer cabling, etc. I'm also a Methodist preacher (blade not usually needed in church, but it's there anyway :D).

Commercial data circuits/networks and voice telecommunications sales. I carry either a Sebenza 25 Micarta or my much-loved CQC15 satin serrated daily.

I am a police officer. Not the most glorified occupation right now in the media but I love what I do. I work the streets so my job is simple; find bad guys, make a solid arrest, and then put them in jail (I am no ticket writer). The area I work in is the arm pit of the city. I wanted to challenge myself so I asked for the assignment right out of the academy. I have a few Emerson's dedicated for SD roles. My Sark gets used the most. I cut a lot of clothes off people try to find where they have been shot or stabbed if EMSA has not made it to the scene.

I'm a firefighter. I use my Emersons for everything from opening boxes of medical supplies, to opening buckets of firefighting foam, to breaking down cardboard boxes for recycling. I've yet to do anything cool with them like cut a seatbelt to save a baby from a burning car though.

I work as a land surveyor so I may find myself in a big city or in the middle of nowhere. It is comforting having a quality knife which is why I carry an Emerson most of the time.

I am a dispatcher for UPS only recently removed from hub management. Work is good for me now. I carry my karambit and another rotating edc for any random cutting tasks I might need. Honestly, I carry the k bit if the random chance arises that I need to kill someone. Just being honest, this world can be crazy sometimes.
