What do you Emerson forum regulars do for a living?

I like this thread. I'd like to ad that it's important to spread the gospel and convert at least one person each job. I bounce around so I'm like a knife wielding Mormon haha.

Which some of us actually are... ;)

I just got my first Emersons, a used Jungle Commander and an old beater of an SOCFK-A. Both feel great, and should serve me well. The SOCFK-A had the blade finish stripped by a previous user, so I'm toying with the idea of acid stone washing it, but we'll see.

As for work, I'm presently a customer service advisor at PepBoys, though I'm trained as a motorcycle technician. However, I start helicopter flight training a week from tomorrow, chasing the dream of being a commercial heli pilot. :)

U.S. ARMY Infantryman. I've used Emersons for about 3 years now and they are perfect for my daily duty tasks. I've actually spread the word and managed to get a lot of my co-workers to carry Emersons.

I'm a foreman for a commercial/industrial electrical company. Sometimes I have to hook up and wire lights cranes like this, but I have also done an ethanol plant several schools and a hospital or two

Construction. I'll have to post a pic of the horseman sometime, the poor thing :D

I am a legal assistant for my father's criminal defense firm down in miami. I am finishing my last year of law school now before the florida bar. I plan on hopefully becoming a prosecutor for a few years to get experience and make connections, to then become a private attorney with my father. I could go private right after but I feel the connections I would make with the other prosecutors and the trial experience would be amazing. Not much need for my emersons, but I carry my cqc7 daily. =)

Bicycle mechanic for the past 25 years with a bit of plumbing and carpet work in there as my father's helper.

Most of my Emerson knives that I use for work have to deal with all sorts of chores. Anything from mail, cardboard boxes/tubes, foam tubes, plastic containers, vinyl, rubber, leather, wires, wire ties, fiber straps, rope, wood, dried/hardened sealant, cutting tires, removing burs from aluminum parts and other chores.

Retired from USPS at fourty seven years old. Now on permanent vacation living in the country with a blacked out Roadhouse in my pocket.:D

^^^ Nice....^^^ :D

I'm a semi-burned out social worker. Been at it for over 20 years with different populations and feeling it the last couple of years.

On the good side- just swore into the national guard and will be a counselor for Guard members!

I'm a Television Cameraman for 15 years but in the business for about 20. Proud to say I've converted other cameraman and utilities (camera assistants) into Emerson knife owners. We use them for gaffers tape, sash cord, duvetyne cloth and sometimes video cable. When I'm not doing that I'm here and there as a pro bono EKI rep. Don't mind it all and enjoy turning people on to a such a great knife company.

Hey fellas, been a while. Works been swamped but I finally have some time off and went to the east coast for vacation.

Journeyman roofer, but looking to leave the trade. The pays decent but the work is hard on my body. Plus the fact I'm college educated and have other career opportunities, I'm tempted to leave.

Anyways, here's what I've been carrying.

Cook/prep cook at a vegan restaurant. My emersons get used when I gotta open boxes of apples, or when the kitchen knives are lost.
My work area.

IT specialist, cabler, cable TV systems. The work is fun, but the company is turning into a revolving door. I'm in the same boat as ibute. I'm wildland firefighter reservist as well. I need to buy one of those Specwars....;)

I also work in film/television, but as a Camera Assistant in the Bay Area. Knives really do come in handy when on the job and prefer to carry my Emerson most days!
