What do you guys think of the S110V PM2 Blurple knives?

I don't care for the colors. I also prefer M4 over S110V.

I agree with this 100%. I can't go out there with Surfergringo yet about HAP 40 though since I haven't had a chance to use my HAP 40 Stretch, but I should like it since it is so similar to CPM M4.

The steel is an absolute joy to sharpen. Jim's testing showed m4 with a distinct advantage in edge retention, but I did not see that when I tested my Delica against my Gayle Bradley custom. Either way, I find it a wonderful steel to work with.

I like it just for the pure fact that is out there in an affordable knife. Mules are great but I don't edc fixed blades..yet. Like others have stated M4 is still one of my favorites.

So I'm waiting for my S110V Burple Spydie to show up today... figured I'd double check on my order. I didn't see the purchase come out of my online checking acct yet. So I called.. good thing. I guess when I bought new Tinmey 7mm trigger earlier last week, the place I ordered it at ran it thru 6x for $150.. and that flagged/ disabled my mastercard portion of my atm/debit card. Then a couple days later when I ordered my knife, they had issues after my phone call trying to get my card # to work. Luckily they set my order off to the side till they could get ahold of me?! So I called bank, got that figured out. Re-called place in Amarillo, TX for my knife order, and got everything figured out; hoping to see it soon.

JoAnn was very nice to deal with on this so far.
She said, "Good thing you ordered this when you did; we're now out of stock! Your order is the very last one of these knifes we have on hand." :O :O

Time to twiddle my thumbs for a few more days?!

Well I finally got a tracking number... here maybe before Friday?! That would be epic... first Spyderco Knife on April's Fool Day?!

"Just my luck" :P

I just pre-ordered one with Knifeworks.com and only $21.95 shipping to Sweden.

This is a beautiful knife with an amazing steel... it must beat even the Sebenza.

Well.. it didn't show up today, so it looks like my 1st Spyderco Knife is going to be an April Fool's knife....

Can you post pic's of the blue anodized clip please?

I've been using it all the time and it wasn't quite as sharp as it used to be when I got it, I spent maybe 2 minutes with the sharp maker fine rods and its sharp again, maybe it's not that bad to sharpen if you don't let it get very dull.

Was planning on getting a blurple Manix for my birthday in June...will they still be in production? I dont mind waiting for the order, but I dont want to deal with the secondary market BS.

They will still be in production but availability is all over the place. If you see it in stock between now and then I would swoop it up.

Mine came in yesterday; didn't want you folks thinking I was april fooling you. Absolutely love it! I took it with me yesterday afternoon when were were bracing up the inside of a 60'x100' building my Brother and I built from the ground up. today 35-55 mph winds! I do like the stock higher clip as it helps me remove it from my pocket; dang that thing won't let go!

Only thing about mine is it's a little tight opening; figure you guys know what I might do so I can open it easier? It's not flickable... Yes, this is my first spyderco; is it supposed to be like this???

Either way, entire happy with my purchase! I'm now a Spyderco Owner! :)

I prefer BURPLE over BLURPLE... it just sounds funnier. :D

Burple was the name of a children's Kool aid type drink from the 80s. It came in an expandable bottle.
...those were the days.

And yeah, everytime I see someone on these forums refer to this color, I do think of that drink.

Yes, it should be a slick flicker, open hard and fast.
It is quite rare that a PM2 comes stiff, with its stepped bushing. But, I'd give it a week or so and just use it. If it is still stiff to open after quite a bit of use, you may want to consider adjusting the pivot ever so slightly.

Yeah mine won't flip.... I'll carry it with me for a week n see if it frees up.

I have to manually aka thumb on it all the way or grab it with other hand to finish opening it right now?

I still love it.... color, s110v shiny steel. May try and get a cool lanyard for it.
