What do you guys think of this???

Brother, you have a LOT more patience than I do.

And they call me a scientist! :o

well, I just can't stand it when obviously erroneous interpretation of someones own results is done. I tried to help, but some peoples ego's are just to big....

Understood.

I got the same treatment when I entered into a discussion of "sharpness" as an actual, measurable quantity instead of a concept. It's possible I just came across as an elitist ... my input was certainly not appreciated.

So, I moved on. I prefer to save rancorous discussion and debate for my working day, in an attempt to lower my stress tensor. :D

[After all these decades, I think I'm developing a network of micro-cracks in my core matrix.]

So,,,,,, for the most part, what we can obtain from his butchery of that GW is: Why mess with what works, especially so radically (since thats not a minor reprofiling),,,,,, maybe he should have purchased a Bad for his slicing chores instead of trying to alter a knife meant for something else. Personally I wouldn't try to slice tomatoes with a FFBM ,,,,,,,, would you ? ,,,,,, lol

Sure I would, And I have!

Old Physics, Cobalt, and other Busse members, I think a lot of the comments were very respectful and it was handled well.

I didn't mean for my post to sound (if it did) that it wasn't indeed a Game Warden and I made this post in the thread:

My thanks to Vassili for posting the larger picture and describing the modifications to the GM.

No disrespect intended to you on that but mentioning the modifications that you made to your GW in your post before just "noting" its failure to perform (to your standards) would have saved a lot of speculation and debate.

Absolutely true that it's your GW to modify as you see fit but mentioning that it's a modified GW from the start and providing some more information in the beginning would reduce a lot of what occurred from pages 2 and 3.

If it sounded as if I was saying he was less than honest, I apologize.

I really believe that if he would have mentioned "modified" to begin with that it would have saved a lot of energy and speculation.

I like a lot of people work in a world of documentation and foundation is the key principle. The foundation was certainly lacking in this, especially with the claims he was making from his perspective.

Thank you to everyone.

Heavens! Please don't worry about this. I think you (and everyone) were very respectful.

Perhaps Nozh thought everyone knew he re-profiled everything he got. He seems to be a very intense fellow, and he may well assume that everyone's paid attention ...

Of course, I feel you're right about documentation. It's been an important part of my life for a looooonggg time now. :)

Thanks OP!

Now, as Jerry said - "Let's Drink!"

Although someone will have to drink for me - I'm still caring for 2 with stomach flu and debating on when I'll get it.

Drink on.

ROFLMFAO,,,,,,,, I knew,,,,,,, right after I posted the tomato thing,,,, someone would slice up some maters with a FFBM,,,, KNEW IT,,, way to go Bigfattyt..... course you did elaborate on the quote,,,, :D lol

modified? seems he just sharpened it....

Maybe he got one heat treated when the Busse crew were all drunk. You know how those crazy hogs are always drinking!

Never had such a problem as my Busse knives are all AMAZING SUPER CUTTING MONSTERS!

There is a lot of BS out there in the world especially about expensive items.

I have been fortunate enough to own some great bikes, great stereo components and great knives. When I was younger I use to look for validation that what I had spent money on was the best or close to it. These days I just go with what I feel on a bike, hear from a stereo or experience from a knife.

It is my experience that the kind information in those posts are not much more than BS, and that is based on what I have done using my knives.

What I see there is similar to the days when guys would drill out bike parts to make them lighter and then get grumpy when the part failed. Or retube an Audio Research Amp with Russian tubes and then say that the $10,000 amp sounds bad.

With experience comes ... wisdom. :)

Our Mr. G has a bumper crop.

but back to topic. Vasil doesn't seem to read anything but his own postings. He completely skirted my comments on his edge thickness. He's plainly either has ADD or he lies and does not want to face facts.
