What do you guys think of this???

no, but it's good enough and much easier to carry, just like tubes are over spare tubulars:p

He would be a very annoying person in real life.

he is annoying everywhere.

If you make a point of looking at his posts ... a little bit of research ... you might note the following. Sometimes, his posting is very difficult to follow, as if he was having a hard time properly phrasing his English. And then, he is very coherent and clear.

this has led some to believe there is no true language barrier. he conveniently becomes fluent when it suits him.

actually based on his own measurements and the size of a GW, which they are all about the same width it is fairly easy to determine the width of his edge at the last inch of blade.

Can someone post a pic of GW that is missing most of it's ricasso, like his. I have not seen one like it.

Although I agree with you guys that what Nozh did to that edge of his is a result of poor sharpening, I do claim that not all Game Wardens come out of the factory with the same blade width. I'm sure someone else must have noticed this, too, or at least could if they checked all their GWs - I don't have that many compared to some guys. There are noticeable variations up to several millimeters - most often it seems to be between 1 and 2 mm, sometimes more. I managed to dig up this old pic to illustrate - it is crappy quality, the dates are all screwed up and the camera flash looks stupid, but hey, it's my pic, that's how they are. :D

These two Game Wardens had a 1.5 mm difference in blade width - out of the box, no modifications, no resharpening at all. You will notice the black one is much smaller looking. Well, it is. It's not an optical illusion, either. I've measured it quite a few times.

As for the ricasso part, I'm not sure I understand what you mean with that, Cobalt? It seemed to that Nozh's GWs have their ricassos where they should be as they should be - nothing missing - unless I'm confusing the meaning of the word (which could happen).

Anyway, I find it pretty interesting that Nozh didn't bother to mention that he had modified his GW. His measurements don't make sense, but that is not new... :D

yah, that would make sense if he got one like the bottom one. At least it removes that from the equation...

Based on past experience from what I have seen from him, I disagree. He's gone out of his own way to misinterpret his own test data in the past to make INFI look bad. Whether he intends it or just doesn't know how to interpret test results is irrelevant.

Ya maybe you're right.

:foot: <--- me.

:D

Yes SharpPhil called him out on it in one thread, I have mentioned it before. He's more foreign sounding when it suites him and I stand by that. I have really read and looked at his posts, he doesnt answer other questions very often and he just points back to his own.

Well, I do like my Busse knives. They are not perfect, however.

Ouch ... that hurt. :grumpy:

Thanks, Sodak, for the benefit of your experience. It certainly makes sense as you've posted it.

This may not be worth to movement of electrons needed to create this reply but I think it is an accurate enough analogy:

Nohz's results are like I.Q. test results, they are both completely meaningless to anything but that test. The publishers of I.Q. tests cannot adequately define the parameter they are alleging to test, therefore the results only give data on how well one performed on that test and should be used in no other context.
