What do you REALLY carry every day?

WTF???

All I carry is a climber or usually a gerber copy of the CRKT K.I.S.S.
I've never needed more than either that or my fists couldn't provide.

I travel light and my EDC has been pretty much constant for about two years.

Left pocket/hip: wallet, Victorinox Soldier, keys.

Right pocket: Benchmade 710, cellphone.

Right cargo pocket: 4gig iPod nano and headphones.

If I feel the need for an EDC light (which is rare) I pick up my Inova X1. Multi-tools are a rarity for me, unless I'm going on a long trip I'll clip my Leatherman Micra to my keys.

If I need a knife at home, I'll drop an old Boker stockman in my pocket.

I carry my Large Classic Micarta Sebenza clipped to my right front pocket virtually every day. Rarely, it may be replaced with my fully serrated Spyderco Police or Lava depending on wherw I'm going, but almost always the Sebenza. I carry my wallet in the same pocket. My keys in my left pocket have an Atwood Ti Prybaby, a Victorinox Manager and an LED flashlight.

Half the time I may have my Busse Satin Jack Tac on me for kicks, Fusion Battle Mistress if I know there'll be wood.

That's all.

When at work I have a Spitfire on my keychain, a Kershaw Scallion in my pocket and my EMS windproof lighter with a pretzl light or whatever you call it. Outside work I add a Leatheran Charge XT and either my 342PD or Seecamp in .32. I don't care what the wannabee Rambos say-you don't need more than that if you are non-LE.

You're right. As a matter of fact there oughta be law that won't allow you to carry anything other than a non-locking folder. Unless of course you can prove you're going hunting or hiking or prove its job related AND you're going or coming from work. And why allow kitchen knives with points, just gives hoodlums something to use against you...

I've got enough money invested in knives/guns/lights that I enjoy being able to use the appropriate tool for whatever job I'm doing. If carrying 4 knives allows me to be able to cut exactly what the knife was intended for, that gives me pleasure. Lights go out in a store or restaurant, I've usually got the perfect light for the situation. Same thing if my car breaks down out in the desert, my SF 10X will allow me to do what I need to get out of the situation. I use what I carry, maybe not on a daily basis, but everything does get used or I get rid of it. So yes, on a daily basis I'll carry anywhere from 2 to 4 knives, two flashlights and when I feel that I might need it, my Ruger SP101.

By the way, as far as I know, Rambo only carried one knife and no flashlights...

I have to seperate into two modes. At work, it's full police gear, of course. In addition to my issued Glock, Taser, Asp, Pepper Spray, radio, etc, etc....I have my (cheesy, free) cell phone and my CS Recon.

Perhaps because of lugging around 12 pounds of junk all day, I carry very little when I'm not working. I seldom carry my off-duty weapon any more, but usually stick the same old CS Recon in my pocket. Other than that, it's wallet, keys, and cellphone.

I'm the same way, I dont carry my weapon anymore off duty. Been like five years now and before that only rarely. If you go heavy at work all the time the last thing you want to do is strap on a gun. I no longer have to worry about seeing idiots I have tossed in jail while shopping or around town since moving out east. The allure of being armed while a good thing, gets old quick. I find old timers who have had a CCW for years say the same thing. I am far from being Ramboesque. Been in gunfights, wasnt enjoyable affairs. Situational awareness being the most important EDC.

Daily carry:
Spyderco Police cliped to my left pocket
Katz Cheetah on the belt on my right
Keys
Wallet

Add a fixed blade during cold weather with jackets. Or just when I am going to be out in the bush, or for hikes.

4 inch fixed blade in an Onscene tactical sheath clipped to my housecoat.

And no Cell phone! I do not want an electronic leash.;)

this thread made me laugh with relief , lol
i thought i was the only one who enjoyed knowing i prepare for the worse .. i go with the old addage if i prepare for the worse nothing will happen , and when you dont it will ..

i hate feeling like im stuck in a rut so i enjoy swaping out my daily carry knives and tools ..it breaks up the daily routine ..it also gives me more hands on with my knives and find out quick what works and what dont ..

i live in Alaska when i step out of the truck I'm in the food chain and in some nasty weather mother nature can dish out, so my back up bag is prolly pretty heavy compared to the lower 48 ..

but i have to think about different kind of risks like extreme cold -40 or colder and animals alot bigger than your norm like a grizzly while bird hunting (wich happened to me last weekend )

in the summer trips i dont worry about flashlights with 24 hours of daylight but during the winter batteries power dont last long @ -40 and you wil only have 3 hours of daylight .
make sure you carry boots and gloves that withstand -40 as well as your car and for us gun carring folks your gun aint heavily oiled cause it will freeze solid and wont shoot when u need it most .

Wallet - Eagle Creek bi-fold slim wallet

Keys - on CountyComm Ti link w/ the Inka pen below

Watch - Seiko Ti Chronograph

Knife - Spyderco BG-42 Military

Flashlight - Fenix L0P-SE

Cell Phone - Nokia 6235i

Pen - Inka Ti (probably one of the most-used pieces of gear I carry)

If it doesn't fit in my jeans, it's not coming along. One item per pocket (flashlight goes in the watch pocket, wallet and knife up front, cell phone and keys in the back). All items are slim, lightweight, rugged, and more-than-adequate for my daily needs. EDC items are the most important tools you can own, because if something goes wrong, these will most likely be on your person. They need to be reliable. There's no way in hell I'm lugging around a little man purse or fanny pack full of unneeded Rambo Gear. I would most likely add a firearm if I actually had money (probably one of these). :)

Front Right - Epipen, Fenix E1, Sebertool M4, Bradley Alias II prototype, Space Pen
Front Left - Vic moneyclip w/blade, file, scissors, a bottle of liquid Benedryl
Watch pocket - Nitro's

Key ring - Photon II NV Green, Utilikey, Sliver Grippers, SwisTech screwdriver combo set, original Glo-Ring from Piet.

Don't ask about the Maxpedition MPB.....

HK USP 9mm fullsize LEM, 2 spare magazines, 145gr Speer Gold Dot
Benchmade 710 D2
Leatherman Kick
Wenger Esquire SAK
Fenix P3D
Seiko Ti 113P Chrono
Pilot G-2 mini
Altama Black Combat Milspec or Jungle Milspec, depending.
Waterproof wallet that I have no idea on the brand.
150' of 550 cord woven into a Slatts survival belt.

Seems like a lot, but it really isn't. It's all kept low profile (everything but the watch and shoes disappear with an untucked shirt) but easy to access.

Light - Fenix P1D CE
Knife - Small Annual Sebenza (today its a Box Elder)
Self Defence - Monkey Fist
Cell - Nokia 6682
Watch - Marathon TSAR
Money Clip with knife and nail file
Front Pocket Wallet

Oh ya forgot, Hinderer Kubaton pen order.

Weekends EDC

Knife is usually bigger like a Strider SMF and the light is a Surefire E2D or L4

Jacket is a Tad Gear Stealth Hoodie - tons of pockets to carry everything LOL.

usually one working knife, one back up,

most of the time a 1911 commander, a spare mag, although it can be something else, but always something.

wallet.

a good pen, a Q3 nuwai, and a cell phone on the belt.

RE the .22 mag as a SD gun, take that gun to the range buy three boxes of ammo and keep track of how many fail to go bang when you pull the trigger, then figure out if you can live with that failure rate as an effective SD Gun. Last time we had someone do this, they found that one in 7 was a dud, 1 in 4 needed a second hit to go off. I would not trust MY life to any rimfire cartridge when so many other better and more reliable choices exist.

Today: just on the farm-

S&W M24 3in. bbl. - .44spl. w/silvertips and 3 speedloaders
High Standard derringer in .22mag. w/fmj ammo and 3 reloads
Strider AR CB
Yojimbo
Dodo SE
Pug wallet
Surefire E2D
Inova X5
Monte Blanc pen
cell phone
Gargoyle sunglasses
USMC zippo

More guns and gear in house, truck, garage, and both barns.

We are severely restricted in South-Africa when it comes to firearms. Mine stays at home most of the time. For EDC I believe in a simple "Point-and-Click" system.

-A Surefire flashlight in my left pocket for pointing in his eyes.
-A baton in my right pocket for clicking his noggin while he blinks his eyes.

For a backup I carry a Spec Bump hidden under my belt as a last resort. It gets used every day for slicing and dicing evil apples (a fruit a day keeps the doctor away). Maybe it is just an excuse to play with my knife on a daily basis. I never used to eat apples before I bought my Bump... lol.

Thank you very much.......,this made me laugh out loud!!!:D:thumbup:

I have a Countycomm BOB I use for my everyday office bag and in it is:
Palm TX
Video iPod with Sony earphones
Moleskine journal
Military carbon Mora knife
Surefire Executive E2
Glock 22 with an extra magazine
Extra meds, plus bandaids, eye drops, etc.
Digital camera (older, small, Canon SD 100)
Sony AM/FM/TV Walkman radio
Leatherman Wave (original)
Bandanna
Extra batteries, SD cards, and USB drives
iPod AC charger
Tide to go pen (spot cleaner - usually from food!)
Streamlight Stylus (white)
And today (maybe not always) a new Buck 110 AG!

On person - other than the usual pen, ID card, wallet, watch, keys:
Victorionix Tinker SAK
Spyderco Native VG10

In the Truck:
Tool bag
Misc supplies crate
Glock 23 with a G22 magazine in a Coronado Leather fanny pouch

It is a good idea to have a camera of some sorts today when you are out driving. If you are in an accident - do your own still/video documentation. It is better to have more documentation than just the police report when dealing with insurance companies!!

On me every single day. No exceptions:

Primary weapon: HK .40USP w/ 16 rnd government mag
extra USP 13 rnd mag

Secondary weapon: Kel-Tec .32 w/ 10 rnd mag (extended grip)
extra Kel-Tec 10 rnd mag (extended grip)

Knife: I alternate between a no-name fixed blade, Mikov auto, and my SOG Recon Bowie

zippo in a leather zippo belt holster
wallet
phone
cigs
keys
cash seperate from wallet
Parts Unlimited pen
business cards

In the winter I carry a lot more. It's just not convenient to carry everything without the big leather jacket to hide everything in and under.

some of you guys carry A LOT of stuff. For me its...

Treo 700p
Wallet
keys (house key, car key, SAK signature)
Byrd meadowlark or Delica wave clipped to pocket
Ultrafire 1xAAA light in back pocket of jeans or Jetbeam CL-E if pants permit.

I'm weird about having more than one thing in each pocket. It just isn't comfortable. I will swap out the 1xAAA light for a 1xAA when wearing cargo pants or shorts.
