What do you want to see in 2017?

I'd like to see GEC go small. Another run of 33s, 09s, and 68s on a single spring.

I would also like to see someone take a try at a lobster knife.

I'll second this suggestion. Size matters!

My hopes...

Something interesting off of the #13 frame (looks like that is in the pipeline!).
A GEC lambfoot on the #47 frame
Another run of shieldless #33 Northfield Conductors with coping blades
A clip/wharncliff run of the #15 TC barlow

A new run of the Eureka Jack pattern from GEC with a natural canvas variant. Perhaps a yellow saw cut variant as well.

OK these threads really go to your head, intoxicating:cool:

CASE A Pen-Knife in jigged bone and smooth bone., Appaloosa why not! Red that'd red not pink! Bradford bone on sth. Another run of Saddlehorns. Big Swell End. I don't care if it's stainless or cv both of these are OK for pocket knife tasks, but I want decent bone.

QUEEN Get rid of that Blue Bone run, it's OK for a special knife but very limiting on a whole load of patterns, polarising. Some resurrection of Winterbottom Bone! A Barehead Teardrop with relentless QC or at least up to GEC standard please. Drop that huge Keystone shield on every Schatt, it looks awkward. Revive the Heritage line but with improved blade size and some QC you can depend on and not just pray for...

GEC Let's see some new interpretations of patterns eh? A smaller Dixie Stockman (3.25-3.5") but keep that blade selection please! A bigger Norfolk, the Northwoods one is too puny, something with single and double blades. Slim Sleeveboard not the fatty 26. Tip Bolster knife. Shadow, sunk-joints, Serp Pen Knife smallish like the CASE. Let's have an Equal End say White Owl or 36 but instead of Pen blades or Punches I'd go bonkers over a small Pruner like you get on a SAK Pioneer, massively useful actually. Some type of Lambfoot - you can put it on a Viper or Talon frame, OK it's not an American blade or accepted pattern, but there'd be a big response I'm sure. You could even do a quality facsimile of the Mallory knife....

Existing GECs: Certainly more Eureka/Talon Bareheads with Prop or Gimp shield, smooth bone too and why not a stainless non brass one? Drop Point 25 please! 56 Jack in stainless. More Farmer's Jacks or 38 Pen type with Clip master.

That lot ought to keep us all in the Work House...:D:eek:

That's a very comprehensive wish list Will. I really like most of your suggestions too.

I'd also like a blonde Barlow from GEC or Queen. Maple, juniper, olive... whatever. Not box elder burl though. My wallet can't take it.

A new run of the Northwoods Hawthorne with a full flat grind (if possible), if not the sabre will be fine.
They are Fantastic sellers on the second hand market, and would likely move Very Quickly straight from KSF.

I'd still like to see a run of big workhorse knives from GEC - single bladed spearpoint and clip point equal ends on the moose frame. Would be beefy but thin and very pocketable.

Seconded,,,if that helps.

hmmm, maybe a decent sized coke bottle from GEC. not one of those massive things that queen has, but something of a respectable size, OAL maybe 4-4.25

Spear blade main cattle knife on the 35 or 68 .Slanted bolster 81 stockman with the UNxLD diamond shield in some nice jig bone ( like Charlie used on his navy knife )

#1 - A 3 3/4" equal end pattern, two springs, two opposing blades, one a wharncliffe, the other a spear.
#2 - A swayback jack by GEC.
#3 - An all metal equal end advertising type knife with the words "Blade Forums" pressed on the mark side.

I really do look forward to seeing what they come out with on the 35 frame. In a perfect(but not likely) world I would like to see a jack with a spear and sheepsfoot blade.
Also, I want to thank those who brought up the 33 for rekindling my obsession with that knife. If there was one knife from their past production that I would have a really hard time passing up it would be a 33 coping in ebony or stag.
I dream about that knife on occasion...

Will, I would LOVE to see Case release a classy pen knife. I think their chestnut or walnut jigged bone would do it justice, although I'm not sure I haven't got it in me to turn down smooth bone.
Then you had to go a utter the a word. I don't think there is a pattern I would turn down if they put out some decent Appaloosa bone!

I want to see Buck come out with a 301 stockman with just two blades; the clip and sheep foot. Thats it, a two blade stockman.
