What do your wives carry?

I gave her a Buck Crosslock about 6 months ago and she never even used it until we went camping a few weeks ago. Now I have noticed she is carrying it all the time...

My wife died some time back, but she always carried a local made 4" folder. I gave my daugher (8 years old) and Umfaan but she said it was too pretty to carry around. She liked my MT udt, so I have a pink one on order for her. This may agahst some of you, but you have to remember that children upcountry Thailand grow up with 6-9" blades and are very adept in using them for all chores. It is not a big deal here.

I gave my wife the first SAK I ever owned. A Victorinox Explorer. Got it for a gift back when I was a teenager.

I permanently lent it to her before she was to go on a business trip to Canada. She was afraid it would be confiscated by customs and went knifeless. Personally, I would have been happy to cause an international incident over it, but that's me.

When she returned, it was like, "Hey, where's that SAK you gave me?" I quite willingly handed it back.

She still carries the Vic Explorer in her purse. She has a knockoff Vic Classic on her keychain.

Her favorite "borrow" is my Spyderco Dragonfly.

Spydercard. I'm trying to find her a Pink Delica cause all the black knives scare her.

My wife has always been wonderfully understanding with regards to my knife addiction. But even though she always expresses interest in checking out my new toys when they arrive,....she never expressed interest in wanting to carry a knife UNTIL she spotted a Protech Jazz Runt w/mirrored blade while I was websurfing several months ago. Suddenly she said "THAT! That's the knife I want!! It's PRETTY!". Cool. So I bought it for her and she has carried it every day since then.
Recently she also adopted my Guardfather IV which now lives in her purse along with her Glock 27 and Surefire 6Z.

Guys, the trick to getting your wife/girlfriend interested in blades is to let THEM pick out what THEY like. ;)

Here's my wife's Guardfather and Jazz Runt.

My wife either carries a Papoose, Thrush, or Wolf Pup.

The fact that it is exactly what I was expecting that Gus himself would say!!

My wife? Carry a knife? How about carrying around an "attitude", and leave the knives to her husband. God bless you guys that have understanding wives!

My wife carries my old Spydie Endura which I gave her when I got my Military and ocassionally she carries a Gerber Guardian.

The wife carries an old united copy of a cricket on her keychain , a Toologic card and a Gerber AR-300 with the black half serrated blade in her purse. She likes the little gerber because of the rubber inserts and smooth action.:)

My wife carries a MT UDT. The first time she used mine she fell in love.It was my pleasure to pick up one she could call her own.

My wife carries a Gerber AR-3 satin-finish, plain-edge and a Spyderco Cricket, also in plain-edge. At first she carried them in her purse, now, whenever we have a rare day off together, and are in regular clothes (jeans, shorts, t-shirt,as opposed to business attire) she has taken to carrying the Gerber in her pocket and the Cricket clipped to her bra-strap!!

I love my wife :D

Rad my condolences, hope my attempt at humor although true did not upset you.

Actually when we were married, she was very supportive of my hobby. I would do shows back then and she always helped out or dropped by with lunch. Before we were divorced, I asked Delana to make a knife for her. The wait was around 4 years (thankfully so since it took that long to save for it) so I ended up keeping it and I am glad I did since we are not together now. It looks fancy with all the stones (diamonds, emeralds, garnetts and amethyst, but it is a heck of a well made folder). It traveled with Dellana for about a year so she could display it at shows and has been in numerous publications around the world. Current it is the best knife in my collection, but it would have been my x's if we were together when it was finished.

This is one she saw me building, and decided she needed it more than anyone else.
