What do your wives carry?

Ed can not see the picture. Is it that pearl folder :). That is a beauty.

My better half is currently carrying a REKAT Carnivore Cub. I lost it to her so I went out and ordered a Custom from a local knifemaker: Keith Coleman. Now if I can convince her that she REALLY doesn't need my custom when it shows up.

Thank you all very much for your suggestions. A while ago my wife and I were browsing around and she really liked some of the stuff Frank Recupero does (at www.bladeart.com). We came back to this thread and she saw that protech jazz runt and loved it! She said "I want it!" I told her I'd try to find one. Then it dawned on me that it's an auto, is that right Eric? I think those are illegal for carry where I live.

Does protech make any manual folders? I think she is really drawn to the bright colored handles. I'd like to keep it in the production price range, but I could go with a cheaper custom. Anybody know of any medium sized folders with brightly colored handles? She really likes the looks of fancy handle materials, colored g-10, jeweled titanium, etc...

Hmmm, I don't know since I'm not married yet. If for some reason that terrible day of marriage comes around, I hope she is carrying atleast three knives on our wedding day :D

My wife's favorite EDC is a Spydeco Almite Navigator. She also carries a Benchmade Mini-AFCK in M2HSS.

Gotta love a lady with a blade! :D

Considering the amount of beautiful pieces we get in every week, my wife never really seemed to be taken by any of them. I could have sworn she would have flipped over some of Frank Recupero’s pieces, but comments of “beautiful” and “that should do well” were never followed by picking the actual knife up and playing with it. That all changed when a Fred Perrin red handled La Griffe came in one day. Something about it drew her to it. She picked it up, pulled it out of the sheath and smiled. It’s been with her ever since…

As of recently (almost converted!!!) a SS SOG Mini Gentleman.

AntDog, yes, the Protech Jazz Runt is an auto, and it's a "California Legal" since the blade is under 2". Unfortunately Protech doesn't make a manual version of this knife. Have you and your wife checked out Ti Knives at all? They make some very colorful quality pieces. Here's a few at BladeArt: http://www.bladeart.com/production/ti_knives/ti_nives.htm
and here's the Ti Knives website for a full selection of their knives:

Happy hunting. :)

My wife started out somewhat afraid of knives. (She loves firearms, but blades made her nervous.) After some encouragement she went looking for a knife that would suit her and bought a little Buck Lightning in blue marbled aluminum. She carried it in her purse pretty regularly, but didn't seem too attached.

The first knife she really liked was a Spyderco Mouse I bought for her, along with a Mike Sastre neck sheath. She has used that knife heavily and carried it almost constantly.

When I got my Emerson La Griffe she admired it, handled it, and kept it. :D It has mostly replaced the Mouse as her neck knife, but the Mouse finds its way into her pocket often enough.

Her latest enthusiasm is a Spyderco Vesuvius with blue inlay. That now competes for pocket space with the Mouse.

My wife carries a Puma 4 Star Stag, a Victorinox SAK Classic, and a Glock 19.

The only knife she will even consider. I have heard other men say the same thing. I wonder why women like the Lagriffe.....cat's claw?

My wife of 2.5 weeks carries a Sebenza, a Sebertech M4 and a Surefire G2 Nitrolon flashlight.
